Wow! I can still recall the day of 1200BPS modems. The 150mb service sounds nice, but too pricey for me.
I'd be tempted to do the 150 Mbps if it was offered in my area. At $100, that isn't too bad for the speed boost from the around 20 Mbps-ish most get now.

I remember that when people were running 300bps as the standard for BBS talking, I had my Mac SE with an external 2400bps. I was a rockstar to my friends. The got info on a letter by letter lag and I was getting whole sentences before their first words were done.

Yeah when I got into BBS'ing I had a 2400bps modem. My friend Ted had an actual honest to goodness external hayes 9600. That thing was crazy town! He could turn on color when he connected!
I remember when I kicked things up to 14.4Kbps!

LOL! It's come a long way since, but part of me still misses the secret BBS community and all the perks that came with it. It was those little clusters of community that paved the way for things we have today. Sure turn based, text based, rpg and sims are no longer in fashion, but I still remember how it felt when I signed on after waiting until the line was free, just to see if someone found and attacked my ship while I was offline or out of turns.
I miss those BBS days too. That's when you had to be a real nerd to get online! :)
