Just got the new podcast up for this week. I cover the two-part season two set of DS9 episodes called "The Maquis." I also briefly cover a few recent films I have seen, some Trek movie talk and more. Hope everyone enjoy this podcast.

Oooo looking forward to this. :)
This is the one with Bernie Casey. Can't wait to listen to it.
Loving the podcast so far!
Oh I enjoy this one. Looking forward to listening!
Downloaded for the commute.
That speech that Sisko gives to Kira about the Maquis is classic. Great run down of this 2-parter. The early seasons of DS9 get overlooked sometimes but there were some gems.
Thanks Rico for another great podcast! :)

Yup, great Sisko speech right there. I love it when he gets worked up about something.
I agree. No one can do a speech about what's right and wrong better than Sisko I think. I really enjoyed covering this set of episodes.
It showed :)
They are good episodes though.
Besides the finale these were my favorite shows from Season 2. As always good job covering them and I do agree with you on something you said at the beginning of the podcast. I do think some movies have to seen at a theater to get the whole scope of it. For an example The Avengers will be fun to watch on your TV but it will be nothing like seeing it on the big screen!
LOL, Rico, I was just listening to some of this one again it started playing on my itunes while I was doing stuff. I laughed when you gave your diatribe on all the 24th century people living in huts and always in the worst places. It's so true, how often have they shown a colony that actually looked like it WAS in the 24th century?
Hi Rico, I just listen to pocat 388 this weekend. I don't think I ever got to see that one, allthough i remember the ending and that Casey Character was a Maurois. Yes Marquis was a name of the French resistance group in WW2 in France that resisted the German occupation. I believe the name also means underbrush in French. I do remember the tie in to Voyager. I liked Siskos speech about how different things are on Earth and how different in the frontier. I think he gives it again in other DS9 episodes. the music clip at the end was intersresting, but I think they never used it for the movie.
Just catching up - I think those clips you chose summed up the episodes pretty well. I always appreciate DS9 shows - just working my way through season 4 again at the moment.
Thanks for the heads up on the Star Trek Doctor Who cross over... dropped in to my local comic & gaming store and hopefully they'll get a copy in tomorrow. It sounds good!
Glad you enjoyed the cast.
Having to catch up on all my podcasts due to being off work last week so had a TSF day today and had three in a row.
Really enjoyed this DS9 episode Rico, i miss this series so I always get quite excited when you review DS9 or Voyager.
Great job.
