As Many of you know, A few years ago I built a model of the USS Constellation that took 16 months to build, While last week my cat Burma while trying to get on the shelf where it sits, managed to topple it and completely destroyed it., this is how it looks now.. I am in the process of replacing it, However I will not be building it this time., But will be building a display case for it, I will provide pictures when the replacement comes. For those of you wondering Yes burma is still alive, for how long depends on what she does to this model.

Man that sucks. Cats sure can cause trouble! When Mika was a kitten she liked hanging out on top of the fridge. We had a dinner party and had ALL of our wine glasses out on the counter drying the next morning. All of a sudden we hear a loud CRASH! and all but one of the glasses had smashed on the floor. She knocked them all over in an effort to get on top of the fridge.

Luckily she avoided getting hurt and she no longer enjoys the fridge.

What sucks more is the replacement is over 1000.00 US with display case

Sorry to see that.  Maybe this is a chance to build it even bigger and better.  :)

P.S.  How did you keep the dust off that without a case?

My dog can't jump on any shelves. Unfortunatly she can't even jump on the couch anymore. She's getting old. Can't hardly see or hear.

Ack, that sucks! Excellent call on the display case for the replacement, though.

I'd totally go Black Pearl with the leftovers - tattered sails, skeleton crew.  Wouldn't be the same, but would certainly be one of a kind.  :eekout

Quick advice: Don't get ferrets any time soon. They make kittens look sedate, and wrecking stuff is their superpower....

Cats are EVIL! My roommate and I have five between us. It's chaos everyday.  :mad2:
