Post by: Hal2001 on April 19, 2012, 10:10:21 AM
The University of Michigan is offering a free online course of Science Fiction.  It's a 10 week course starting July 23, 2012.  It's offered thru the site coursera.org.  They offer various free online courses from top Universities.  This is the link.

Cool stuff!  I wouldn't mind doing that.  I took a Sci-Fi lit class way back in my 4th college year as an elective.  Strangely enough, the course reading involved Anne Rices' 'The Vampire Lestat'.  Also, Kurt Vonnegut, and a few other classic authors.

Nothin against Michigan, but I'm a State fan as well.

I hope Wikipedia reviews work for the reading.  Not sure I can keep up with all of the reading.  Never taken a Scifi course.  Hope it doesn't affect my enjoyment of it by making me think to much.    ;)
