The new guest cast is up with the 'Alien boys' back for another stint with a look at the classic film, "Aliens." Lots of great stuff in this one and I know everyone is going to really enjoy it. Thanks much guys for this great guest spot!

By the way...the coffee mug I'm holding is from Disneyland! It's got Yoda on the inside and it has that classic line "Judge me by my size do you?" Our good bud Kenny bought me and Joyce these mugs last time we were in Disney. THANKS KENNY!! :)
Oh, and the meatball the Alien is holding is actually.... :) Just kidding!! :) Thanks for including me on this one Bryan. And thanks for the chair once more Rico...
Downloaded and looking forward to listening to this tomorrow.
So psyched to share this with you all!
Good tag-team review guys.
I watched Aliens again before your 'cast, still a fun ride.
I'm really enjoying the cast so far you guys! Awesome! I just watched Aliens for the first time yesterday!
Downloaded and ready for work today. :)
Great show guys! Really enjoyed the discussion and you both continue to have a great dynamic.
Yes - fun show again guys. One thing I thought you might touch on was the music. One thing I'll always recall from when I first saw "Aliens" was how much James Horner used his "Khan" soundtrack for this movie too. It worked - but with your eyes closed at certain parts I can't tell if I'm watching "Aliens" or "Wrath of Khan." :)
Listen to this track - especially starting at about 1:45 into it.

Totally meant to bring that up. The back story os James Horner was really pressed for time to create the soundtrack as the film was so late getting locked in post edit. So with only days to get it together, he lifted a bit from previous work clearly and the TWOK elements are very noticeable.
Oh, James Horner is the copy & paste king of soundtracks. Remember, he first lifted his Khan soundtrack for "Krull" before using it once again for "Aliens." Still love the music anyway. :)

Thank you Al and Bryan for another great podcast! :cheers
I couldn't wait to get to work, so could listen to your podcast.
The two of you did an excellent job.
Thanks Bryan for the behind the scenes stuff. II really dig that kind of stuff.
I'm looking forward to the your third installment.
Really well done show. I loved it! Thanks for the hard work you guys.
Thanks Rick. Actually, Bryan did all the "hard" work. I did the easy work! :)

Hardly, you did such a great job with the intro, dropping the film audio into your synopsis, and the "Game over, man!" at the end was inspired!
Really lookin forward to this one but I'm still dragging behind on the listening. I'll hopefully get to this next week though.
Enjoyed your followup podcast Al and Bryan, learned a lot about Aliens, great job both
Hey Al and Bryan!
Great podcast. I love the pictures you two have posted as covers! Can't wait to hear the other movies. You are planning on doing the others aren't you? :o
One of the lines I remember from the Aliens movie is when Newt says "They mostly come out at night...mostly." I'm a big fan of Cartman from Southpark so when he said that line, I was trying to place where I had heard it before. Here's the clip."

Yahoo! :)
That's too funny with the two Kirks in their shock and rage! :roflmao
Hi Chaps, I listened to your Aliens' podcast today and enjoyed it. I enjoyed the 'behind the scenes' facts of the movie, and the critical view you took on some aspects of the moive. It makes me want to get the blu-ray out and watch it, and the extras out again.
I didn't see the movie in the theatre; in our youth (I have a great memory!) my brother used to work in a video store and he would bring home copies of the lastest video releases to watch at home - your podcast brought it all flooding back!
On top of all this we got to learn the question that many have wondered about on this board...why Bryan is always shirtless in his pictures!! ;)
Looking forward to your Aliens 3 podcast... :)
Cheers Bev!
It's been a long time since I've seen the film but the podcast really brought it all back. An excellent job guys, thanks.
Ta Mike!
Good podcast guys, I got to watch both Alien and Aliens from Netflix a long while back. They were very good and your look over Aliens was very well done. :)
King
Thanks Tim!
Another Home-run guys.... well done!
We need comments from you, Marko!
Hi guys, just listend to the TSF 380 podcast this weekend. Great podcast! I have only seen aleins one time and I have not seen it since. I remember fist seeing it when it was released on home video and I watched it on VHS, we had just gotton our first VCR that year. I certainly enjoyed it when I first saw it, I think I will try to see it again someday. I do think that Paul Riser seem out of place in the casting. I don't know why they included him for the movie. I enjoyed the behind the scenes info you guys gave too.
Thanks man! Yeah, I have never come across any info relating to the casting of Rizer, I think Cameron just liked him.
