This topic would have been more ironic last week, but I was thinking about this today...
Does anyone else remember how cool it was when you got a new DVD scouring around the menu screens looking for hidden features and little "easter eggs" sprinkled around various areas of the discs? I used to love this and I don't think anyone is doing it anymore! Sometimes, especially in the days before You Tube, it was the only was to see some of the hilarious bloopers from films and TV shows. I remember the Ghostbusters DVD had tons of them. The 2004 DVD box set release of the Star Wars movies had the coolest easter egg ever...if you put the bonus disc in your Xbox you could play a demo of the soon to be released game Star Wars Battlefront!
Does anyone else remember any cool DVD easter eggs they want to share?
I recall the Easter Egg in Windows NT 3.5.. :) In screen savers - if you chose 3D Text and put in BEER - It would flash through different brands of beer - each one a favorite of a developer.
The only one I can think off of the top of my head was on the Star Wars Blu Rays, in the section for Boba Fetts costume they had the Cartoon from the Holiday Special that featured Boba Fett for the first time.
