Wow!

I half expected to have the bust start talking. It was so eerie how real it looks just like him.

Cool and detailed but it's getting into that uncanny valley area where it looks a little bit too real but just not real enough. Cool yet a little creepy :)

Yeah, there's something just slightly eerie about it. But it is really cool.

Amazing how Christopher Reeves' Superman legacy has endured (George who? Kirk who?). It would seem that Henry Cavill has his work cut out for him.

Christopher Reeve brought such a presence to that character that he's pretty much the only one I can see playing Superman. I had heard years ago that Nicholas Cage was rumored to be Superman in newer films and I wasn't sure that he would have made a good Superman.

That's the same way I feel about having to watch the remake of the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I really enjoyed Noomi Rapace as Lisbeth. I'm not sure I'll like the new one with a different actor.

To my mind, Nicholas Cage would have just been WRONG. That bit of casting made absolutely no sense to me, other than his position as a top box office draw.

Reeve was great at communicating a gentle innocence as Clark Kent and powerful confidence as Superman. My hope is that the new Superman isn't too Post-Modern. I like The Big Blue Boy Scout.

Nic Cage, for all his forays into scenery chewing madness in recent years, is actually quite a versatile, talented actor.  I'm kind of sorry we wont ever see his take on the Superman mythos.

Oh, he's definitely a talented actor — one of my favorites.

As iconic and wonderful as Christopher Reeves performance will always and forever be, I think one mistake the reboot made was trying too hard to recreate the universe of those original films.  I'm pretty sure that the script Nic Cage was attached to briefly was very different than the one that was shot in Superman Returns.  I agree that he definitely wouldn't have been right in the movie we all saw.

Edit to add:  I think I remember it was a version of the Death of Superman they were thinking about making that Nicholas Cage wanted to be in
