Oh man, thats so sad. I love looking at his concept art for Star Wars. I truly think his designs made it possible for those movies to get made.
He influenced a ton of artists, it's hard to look at the Normady from Mass Effect and not think of McQuarrie.
Let's not forget Galactica either. RIP Ralph, you gave a generation of kids a playground in their imagination!
I'm saddened. Such a creative man that shaped the look of sci fi as we know it.
