It'll take a while. Paramount has so much revenue they want to get from this release due to the cost of doing it.

As far as streaming, that will definitely be awhile.  Look how long it took Netflix to get Trek on DVD/streaming the first time.  Also, streaming won't look as good as a 1080p Blu-Ray disc.

I had to work real late yesterday so I didn't get a chance to watch my disc yet.  But I will later tonight!  :)

You will love it.

The crazy part is re- living the painful part of the characters trying to gain their footing.  They are all so different in their roles than they finally ended up being.  I'm talking encounter at far point.  I got a kick out of the paper read out comments, the over acting on Denise Crosby's character, the almost Zombie and odd behavior of dr. Crusher and of course the ultra emotional cosmic cheerleader Deanna Troi.  Warfs make up is pretty bad in HD on the first show, but ends up looking quite good on the others.

What a great series, so worthy of HD!

I have been and always will be, your friend.

Streaming or disc?

I think they will get streaming but not sure if it will be after each season release or after the whole series has been released. Read it somewhere....

Streaming preferably.  Although I agree with Rico, it won't be as good as 1080p, but 720p looks a sight better than 480/w/e the current really bad format is on Netflix.

Yeah, if i like it, I will just buy the whole series and have no use for 3 individual episodes. Clutter, I'm not a media pack rat. :)

Too bad he doesn't have BryandCD Prime, free shipping!  I kid, that service could never exist with an $11 loss per customer.

I do have Prime shipping via a free student account, however paying for the Blu-ray set itself is out of the question right now.  No job does that to one's bank account =\

Well streams sourced from the Blu-ray masters even if streamed in 480p will look better than the original DVDs. I hope they update per season as they go along, with a 90 day delay for example.

The wife got me "STNG - The Next Level" for Valentines Day. And she did let me have it already. Haven't watched it all yet but, man, does it look sweet!!

The vibrancy and clarity is far beyond what I expexted. The effects feel fresher than they did 25 yrs ago. Loving it. It's a good advert for the boxed sets, I'll definitely be getting them now.
