I've been asked to post up a change about the running of the RPG. Jen is stepping down as moderator for the time being and Meds and Just X (Chris) will be stepping in to keep the RPG moving along. I know Jen is probably feeling very busy these days and I know we all will miss her leadership for the RPG. I know Meds and Chris have already been having some discussions about the upcoming season and I know everyone will support them in their new roles. They are shooting to start season 11 in January and want everyone to start thinking about their characters and who you will be bringing in to the new season to write for. Thanks everyone for their continued awesome work on this exciting part of the forum. And a very special thanks to Jen for working so hard and spending so much time on this for all this time. :metallica:

OK so we'll be kicking off in early January so everyones got a month to either create a character or to upgrade their current one. All writers new and old please let us know either here in this thread or by emailing/PMing me about coming into season 11.
NEW WRITERS
We are always looking for new writers and this is your ideal time to jump in and have a go. We don't expect you to be writing a post everyday but if you want to great but at least one a week would be ideal. Its easy and fun to do and you will have all the support from myself and Chris and the other writers. Joint posts are always great fun and we promotes that as much as possible so if there is anyone you want to write with just ask them.
If you need help or advice on creating a character PM me and I'll help you out as much as I can. If you have any questions regarding anything on Trek then Just X (Chris ) is your man.
CURRENT WRITERS
OK gang, we're back on track. Could you all please let us know if you are coming back and joining in, there will be some small changes to how the season runs but more on that later. Put it this way we're thinking of shorter seasons so everyone keeps on track. I know we have writers who post several times a week and some who post every now and again, that's fine. We all have other things to do and personal lives to deal with but i hope you all come back and make season 11 great.
Jen is still in the RPG and will be writing her characters of Sevryll and Ryla so please remember she's always up for joint posts.
On a personal note myself and Chris are stepping in to keep the RPG going. I hope we can keep up the excellent work that Jen and Kenny have been doing and that it remains fun. BUT!!! this RPG cannot work without you. If we do not have you excellent writers then this game is nothing. Also to our readers and listeners we hope you continue to enjoy our little Trek into the final froniter.

Seriously, I'm really honored to be working on this with the fine people that do what you do so well. Right now, we haven't opened the first bottle of wine to discuss the season, but we have some ideas.
I think that these ideas might be nice for keeping the game flowing AND reducing those lulls that we normally have.
So I guess everyone should stay tuned to the boards for information and other cool stuff.
Okay now I'm going to go get the buffy musical out of my head before I start quoting.

I unfortunately will probably be out for the next season at least as the recent elbow surgery needs time to heal, However if someone would like to make a post for me from time to time that would be fine by me as it would at least keep my character around.

I will be back as well. Thank you to Chris and Meds for stepping up to the plate. I wasn't sure I could juggle moderating the RPG, Anomaly, my family life and a new baby. Stress and pregnancy don't mix, or so I'm told. Anyway, I will be available to help but please direct all questions to Meds and Chris in the future. I'm just a writer now. :)

Yup we'll be introducing each other (not everyone has done a writers call before) chat about character development and indeed the storyline. We already have a rough plot line but would love to hear imput and ideas being thrown inot the plot. :)

Okay good folk, we're getting close to announcing the official start date of season 11 Episode 1. I know that many of you are already hard at work behind the scenes plotting ideas and brainstorming what to write.
Now is the time where we do the lovely process of housekeeping and weeding before the season starts.
For those of you not in a command position, bridge staff, or department head, it's will pretty much be business as usual.
For one of you in the mentioned positions, I need you to email Meds and I if you will be able to continue to write for those positions.
Some of the characters in those positions have other PCs in their department and we really need those people to step up and work with those characters and run their departments. Some departments don't have other PCs under them and the expectation of participation is lowered.
If you for any reason feel that you can't run a department and commit to the time needed to manage it, that's understandable. As it stands, we need writers in those positions to help move the story and we fully understand that time is a precious commodity these days and not everyone is able to make that commitment.
I'm going to assume that we're on a blank slate. If you can make the commitment to be a department head, let me and meds know. If you are already a department head and don't think you can make that commitment, let me and meds know. Either way, we need to know what's going on.
If there are changes that need to be made, we'll do it off screen and have things settled by the start of the season.
So that we're also on the same page, I think it might help the heads to know who's in their departments. If you are going to be joining us for this episode, please reply on this thread with the department your character(s) is/are a part of.
I've received a few PMs and email from most of the department heads, but I'm still missing a response from some of you. I'm going to give it a few more days then assume that there might be conflict that will prevent you from the commitment level needed to be a department head. IF that is the case, we completely understand, but we do need strong and consistent writers in those positions. Given that there will be a shakeup in the current command structure at the start of the episode, it might be better to do a shuffling of the crew and their positions to something that's more in line with the amount of writing that everyone can contribute.
If anyone has any ideas on positions that they would like to try, let Meds and I know. It might be able to happen with all of these changes.
I'm assuming all non-returning characters are posted to the station as previously discussed (can't find the post). I'll PM Dan but I'm just going to borrow Lester (as agreed last season) for a post with Tolok before he goes.

Senator Ketleck: stabbed Nevash on the transport. Also a fellow Arabella sickbay patient.
Poyvahn: Senator Ketleck's aid. Bashed Ketleck on the head on the transport to keep him from continuing to stab Nevash.
Nalah: MIA. Person of interest because of her views regarding Nevash. Was under close watch because of her violent actions on the transport.
Doctor Drett: currently confined to quarters pending the results of the investigation. Cause: Suspicious hypo found on station with her DNA on it and her unique access to the senator in Sickbay.
Mysterious Romulan woman who broke Drett's wrist on the transport
K'Tan: Interview to verify part of Ryla's alibis.
Margon: Interview to verify part of Ryla's alibis.
Emperor Oryn: Person of interest because of altercation in Sickbay and because of his stance towards the Romulan Star Empire.
