The new phrase seems to be "There's a patent for that."
A company called Personal Audio is claiming they invented podcasting and are now looking for a piece of the action.
After adapting their 1996 patient for an mp3 player to the current podcasting trends, have begun the formal legal notices.
I wonder who owns the patent on trolls? :taz

I heard about this - I think they will be going after the big podcasters for a quick payout.
Already are. Adam Carolla wouldn't pay up and raised money to take these jackoffs to court.
Been talked about for years.
Come get me! :)

Yeah, they are trolls sitting on patents they never used. They just want to extort $ from the big fish like Carolla or Nerdist. Even Carolla, who has the biggest podcast of all was being shaken down for $100K. But he said FU. Good for him.
Send them a Treks In SciFi T-shirt and call it even. :)
Bah, stuff like this will always be happening. I don't give a crap. Podcast on.
