I think it would be fun if we could each post a photo of yourself up on the forum. That way we can each get an idea who we all are and who we are taking with. Up to you if you want to participate or not. I've seen a few pics of some of you, in avatars and other areas. I'll keep this topic stuck for a bit so we can fill it in. :kewlpics
I'll get the ball rolling. Here are a couple of pics of me and some past Comic Cons....
Me and Marina Sirtis (Troi from TNG)
Me and Alex Tydings (Aphrodite from Xena/Hercules)
I like this idea rico.. here are some pixs of me.

"Kenny, you will be assimilated. Resistance is futile!" ;)
Nice photos. I want to try the borg chamber.
Come on spock. Let's see what you look like without the beard. ;)
Getting a couple of pictures ready! Stand by!
I feel the need to protect my privacy. There are more identity thefts each day. Not that I dont trust you people its just a logical precaution. :police
Ya, I'm working on getting some pictures here, but it's privacy for me too. You never know...
Im sry that the world can be evil.
Hey Guys, I agree that identity thefts is horrible and seems to be happening all over the place but these are just pictures. We're not asking for social security numbers, full names, birthdates, address or anthing that identity theifs like.. just a picture. But if you don't feel comfortable with letting us see you then don't do it, this is suppose to be fun.
spock I completely respect that. No problem. However, keep in mind there really is nothing someone can't find out about another person these days - if they want to. Somewhat unfortunate, but part of modern living. I like to take the reverse approach. Lay it all out there so no one has anything on me. :biggrin
Before January 3...
After January 3...
(you might have seen this pic before :biggrin)
Alas, this pic is no longer current thanks to my mutant hair-growing powers.
Cute dog De. I think I like you better with some hair.
lol
Nice photo de
Thanks Spocko :) I look slightly less scary now. Maybe I'll even post a pic. :biggrin
everyone knows what I look like, don't they now
Do like intimidating people with ur expression De? :P
The pic originally appeared on my blog (Retroactive Continuity) as a humorous way to show off my bald head at the time. I'm pretty harmless as far as personalities go :)
hehe. you look cool, man.
The pics with long hair are from a year ago.. Short hair ones are more recent. http://www.scotthough.com/photos/album/me/
whoa ur a big dude.
ya look to the left ladies and gentlemen and you can see the handsome beast from the wild lands of Southern California. He enjoys a variety of subjects and currently majoring in musical theatre at Cal State Fullerton! Go Spartans!!!
hmmmmm.
Well this is some photoshop fun from six years ago, but this is
me from the neck up anyway:

wow that's a pretty funny picture. how long did that take you? it look s nice. i tried photo shop stuff but it takes a little to much effort for me. :wallbash:
Nice pics guys! Javert you look a bit like Tom Paris on Voyager!

This isn't the best pic of Paris (Robert Duncan McNeil), but I think there is a resemblence.

Didn't take more than an hour I think, but I've been doing digital grafts like that since '92. - Fun stuff but very dangerous in the wrong hands :shocked
Cool pics gang. Keep 'em coming.

Here's a pic of me with Kenny
Cool pic redeye. :)
Nice photo
who is kenny?
he's the one on the right, the left, or one of the people in the background. duh get a clue.
It's Kenny Baker, he's the little guy.. he played R2D2 in the Star Wars Movies.
Javert.. I hope you were trying to be funny.. if not that was just plain rude!!
rude? i didn't know either i was wondering as well.
Rude and funny is a fine line at times. Keep in mind some here on the forums know many of the actors and characters from Trek, Star Wars, a lot of Sci-Fi and some have less knowledge of those things. I know since my Podcast is pretty heavy on Trek that some here are not as in to Star Wars. So it's always good to explain a picture or comment if you can to those that might not know. :)
Ya, I wasn't sure what you were taking about there Javert. At first I thought that redeye mmeant he was with kenny from this forum. But it all makes sense now.
yes i fall into the category of not knowing the star wars actors. please excue my ignorance.
mine as well, thats actually really cool
Yup... I'm Dave on the left and Kenny Baker on the right... just to clarify :)
Lets be nice guys. I try not to insult anyone even if they like SW
we did appoligize didnt we?
Just making sure wink wink
Any new photos folks? Maybe from a few that haven't posted yet?
nope, i totally forgot about this topic... but i'll make a star trek photo of me in photoshop any day now....

Ha, it almost looks like your on the bridge. Nice try at a photoshop attempt there. And Great pictures.
yo, i just thougth i'd put a pic up.

and one more
ha, nice... i like the one with the kirk uniform...
Ya, that's pretty awesome.
Nice pics. Thanks for sharing.
sam, do remember the kirk shirt from 3rd grade? thts where it's from. it barely fit me.
Well, actually it's supposed to be skin-tight, so it actually fits you perfect.
yeah, but it also fit me tightly bak then. it's rly rly rly stretched. even if it was one size bigger it'd still be skin-tight. i kno wat u mean tho. did shatner have to wear a gurdle in the later TOS episodes, cause i'm sure he was much thicker than he looked in the episodes wit tht shirt on.
I think he just put on a little weight.
stop your shatner bashing!!! He was in great shape when he was younger, and my proof is that he didnt wear a shirt on more than 1 occasion.
Ya, well even in the TV series he is little chubby, although still very fit and in shape (some how). And don't worry, Shatner is one of my favourite actors. I ain't makin fun of him.
good, anthony, how come u dont have any pics up?
cause I'm too lazy to get my Digital Camera hooked up to my computer and put stuff up. I'm trying to get some pics of me from Darien Lake up, though.
sam, he's a fat man now. u saw teh boston legal. he had to get one of teh guys in IT to fit him in tht scuba suit :-)
sam, c'mon, near the end of TOS, the whole crew had balooned. Scotty couldnt reach the control panel the last few episodes.
STOP STOP STOP!!!!!!!!!! (this is the equivalent of a tantrum but in text....)
haha
k i'll stop. i dont want ne one's feelings to get hurt. shatner is a beautiful man. we dont want a repeat of eo, now do we?
they dont know who eo is... (eo was omega on the forums btw... if anybody remembers)
hahhaha
eo...
O ya, I remember, he kinda sulked and then just left.
yep, he goes to sam and I's skool
Nice pics Atoz, dro, and picard. I am so jealous on goin to the air and space museum.
yeah, it was cool... u should put up some pics spock (i think we talked about this on page 1 or 2)
and risky should also put up pics.
This isn't me, but I didn't want to post more pics of my daughter in the Podcast Comments thread for last week. Here's Buggy as a Jawa:

yeah, thts fine, i guess. it's all bout wat u feel safe doing.
k, w/e... i assume u dont have a myspace spock... lol
well, he could be one of those ppl who has a myspace, but then puts of pictures of famous ppl and stuff for their pics.
but i dont think he is
no, probably not...
Myspace.. pff. Who has a myspace when you know HTML!
uhhh, i have a myspace. and i kno wat html is.
can tht count?
risky, explain... myspace and knowing html dont relate... that was kinda random...
I just don't see why you would want a myspace. I don't understand why you can't just do what you want to do in myspace in HTML
they dont relate... myspace is like a forum but u leave comments on your friends profiles instead of in a topic...
well, it depends, maybe u just want a webpage, then u dont need a myspace.
k, i guess... w/e

Bryan....nice quote.
Your star trek geek cred is rising quickly.
Nice to see some more pictures and faces up. Thanks for sharing. Here's another recent one of me up in the world's tallest building in Taipei:
Cool, nice seeing pictures of all you guys, I'm really trying to get one up soon.
Rico, technically the Sears Tower in Chi is taller... The Sears Tower has the highest occupyable space, the building Taipei is only taller because of the antennas...
Oo, intersting. You know, I have the tallest free standing structure in the WORLD in my city. ;D I wonder if Vulcan or Romulus or Kronos has anything taller...
they most likely did... seeing as how they had have 300 years on us to build stuff...
Well, I'm new to the group, but I'll play along. This is me from a couple years ago. I'll be getting current photos to share next week at the ST 40th celebration in Seattle. I can't wait!
:blink WOW! Were you an extra on "Enterprise?" That's a great picture!
Yeah, I won a contest and spent an entire day on the set of Enterprise! It was incredible! I wrote about it on startrek.com (http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/news/article/5355.html) and posted more photos on my website (http://www.shakespearehigh.com/library/surfbard/fun/star_trek/st-ent.html).
Hey, I remember that story, Chrystabel! Awesome and welcome aboard. :)
Those pictures are all great Chrystabel. Season 3 would of been a great time to visit.
wow, that must have been amazing... omg, ive always wanted to do that...
I remember that episode! Wow that's once in a life time opportunity and every fan's dream! I enjoyed the article and the photos are great. Thanks for sharing them.
Hey Rico, I'm not very savvy with all this computer stuff. How would one post a phot of oneself? I know how to post ban avatar. Is it similar?
If you hit reply, under additional option click the little plus sign in front of it and it will bring up more options. There you can add a photo from your computer without having it online anywhere. Just browse for the file and then post it.
Here's a mildly blurry picture of me and my cute baby girl, from two months ago.

P.S. And Bryan after seeing you race across that finish line I just have one thing to say ---- eat a bag of chips! Hehe! :roflmao ---- I kid, I kid --- great job!
Oh, I'll do you a few better, Rico! These are from my Half Ironman race last week, where i finished 19th overall out of 1700, 8th amatuer, 3rd in my age group men 35-39 :).
Wow! Nice pics! I'm curious Bryan - have you always been so athletic or was this a later in life challenge for you?
P.S. Who's taking the pics?
Pretty much all my life. I was a swim team rat in the '70's, dabbled in soccer and lacrosse, was the captain of my cross country running team in High School, played Ultimate Frisbee on a top ranked team at Tufts University in Boston. My 20's, I lifted weights and some running. By my early '30's, I started running again and playing Ulimate with a men's Masters (32 and older) team. Gave up Ultimate to concentrate on running when I moved to AZ. After the Phoenix Marathon in Jan., decided to do triathlon. Here's why, my Inspiration:
In 1972, I was 4 years old. My mother was raising me alone after an amicable divorce from my father. He as not around very much, but Mom worked two jobs and we were happy. That winter, she was skiing up at Stratton Mountain, VT with friends when she hit a patch of black ice and launched off the side of a 150 foot ravine. Half way down she hit a tree which broke her fall but also fractured her pelvis and skull, crushed 6 vertebrae, and collapsed her lung. When the ski patrol finally reached her, they thought she was dead. As they brought her down off the mountain, they were sure she would be paralyzed. She had to be transported to Boston and then to a special trauma center in New York City but was eventually stabilized. While there, she met a nice young doctor who would eventually become my Dad.
It took almost 2 years, 4 surgeries, and nine months in a full body cast, but she eventually was able to function normally again. They fused the damaged vertebrae so she lost a few inches in height, but otherwise she made it through. She never had been much of an athlete. She was a school teacher and helped coach the girl's Field Hockey team. Running up and down the field gave her a lot of pain. In 1976, Jim Fixx, a resident of my home town of Greenwich, CT., wrote his book about running. At around the same time, Nike introduced it's first waffle soled running shoe. Mom new Jim and thought the shoe's were funny so she bought a pair. Suddenly, running on the field didn't hurt. Sometime in the summer of 1977, she found a quiet outdoor track and took her first steps as a runner.
In 1979, she completed The New York City Marathon. In 1983, she saw news coverage of a crazy endurance race in Hawaii called Ironman. She made the decision that she would finish that race. We were now a very athletic family. I was a competitive swimmer as a kid and a cross country runner in High School, we rode bikes for fun and exercise, and Mom's running trophy case grew and grew. So in 1984, she flew to Kona and did competed in Ironman. She had such a wonderful experience, she returned every year for the next 4 years, setting a World Record for women's masters division, age 40-45! I was so proud of her accomplishment especially considering the adversity she overcame. She continued to compete into the '90's in both Triathlon and Marathon. Her last Ironman race was Pensacola in 1999, where at the age of 57 she finished in just under 13 hours. This past January she ran the Phoenix Rock 'n Roll Marathon with me and my wife and at age 63 finished a mere 43 min. behind her 37 year old son in 4:13, qualifying yet again for Boston. Amazing.
I had always been a very strong runner (good gene's, thanks Mom!) but never raced until last year. My competitive nature took hold and I was hooked. This year, I decided to follow in my mother's footsteps. I was a strong swimmer and thought biking looked like fun. After the Marathon in January, I bought a 5 year old carbon Kestrel EMS 200, got my butt back in the pool and started cross training. On May 21st, I competed in the Tempe International Triathlon. I finished in 2:12:00, good enough for 3rd in my age group out of 50 and 23rd overall out of 450 athletes. I'm hooked. I have 3 more International races this year, a half Iron in October, the Marathon again next January and then Ironman Arizona next April. I have hired a personal coach to help bring me into the IM AZ race and my goal is to try and qualify for Kona.....for me and for my Mom. Every day I stare into the cold water of the pool or lace up my Asics or hop on my TriathGel seat I think about a single Mom who wasn't afraid to take those first steps into a larger world of self fulfillment.....and I fly.
...oh, the pics are from a company that does all the triathlon race pics.
Wow Bryan, what a great story.. so inspirational... Thanks for sharing.
Awesome story Bryan. Your mom sounds like quite an amazing person. Congrats on everything you both have worked so hard for.
Bryan?
Totally agree! Wonderful and inspirational story about your whole family. Thank you for sharing with us all. I am so glad your mother made it through all that trauma OK and went on to conquer so many things.
There's a message in there for all of us, I think!
Well here is Rico's son himself- his eldest at least. No comparisons to myself and my Dad. I'm much better looking =).
My day job..
Pretending to think while my girlfriend laughs at me trying so hard..
My beautiful girlfriend and myself who is not so beautiful hah.
So now you all have a little taste into the great Rico's life through the life of his son hah. Enjoy!
The family resemblance is definately there. Welcome ;D
Steve is so modest! Hehe....nice pics there son. It will be good to see you this weekend at home. :)
Hey Steve.. Welcome to the group. I take it that you are not a "geek" like your father? :cheers
I think my Dad can answer that question :).
Well, my wife Lynn and I have two sons. Steve is a freshman at MSU and Eric the younger one is a sophomore in high school. They both enjoy computers, video games and some geek type films (Star Wars, LOTR, etc...) but Eric is a bit more of a geek than his older brother. We watch the Sci-Fi channel, some Trek and other SF TV together. Steve is more the sports guy. But neither one is into it as much as their dad.
Well Rico.. Steve might be a lost cause to our geekhood :biggrin but there is still hope for Erik. :starwars:
Bryan, amazing story... wow... thats so impressive... Do u compete in biking marathons? I am a bit of a biker myself...
HAH a lost cause I'm better than a geek =). Well actually I am a huuge geek when it comes to sports knowledge, trivia, offenses, defenses etc. Just ask my Dad, if I don't know something about sports than it must not exist :).
That's true. Steve knows sports like I know Trek. ;)
thats impressive...

I compete in Triathlon, I posted a race report from my Half Ironman a few weeks ago here on the forums. I have never done a bike tour or criterion race, my bike is triathlon specific and has aero bars, so the roadie guys won't let me ride with them. :)
Thanks everyone for the kind words and praise for mom, I'll let her know she has fans in geekdom!
Here is a Picture of My Wife and I and our Favorite Astromech. :r2d2line
After The Skype call on Nov 25th, we went over to visit a friend of mine as he just returned with his full sized R2-D2.
Oh man, It doesn't get much better than that
:jawdrop That is one cool R2-D2 Jeff. Did your friend get it completed or did he build it? Looks like a great R2 build!
Yes, it is pretty cool. He bought it complete, and then he went and picked it up. It weighs 160 pounds. It comes with a remote control, so he can move it around, and spin the dome. As well the lights on the dome light up. My brother and I helped him yesterday with some wiring, as the speaker wire for R2's speaker had come detached from the sound Board, so after that he was busily chirping away. I guess I can put astromech repair on my resume now ;)
Awesome mech dude! :r2d2line
OH I WANT ONE :jawdrop... where did he get it from?
He got it from some fellow who was selling his R2 D2, it was completely fan built. It was down in the LA area.
Oh man.. I live in the LA area... can I ask how much he paid for it?
This is me. Just got to this thread. Been busy. I have pics on the Ren Fest thread, but here is one from Halloween last year. Please tell me you know who I am in it. I have to trust you "guys" to know. Enjoy.

It could be worse, a close family friend has three daughters (no sons) but he started losing his hair. :o
Great pics BTW.
Nice pictures!
Wow thos are pics nice, Angela the Padme pic was funny only in the way that she seems to be all clean and well in a way kind of a "blond" sterotype
Well I guess I will jump on board the bandwagon here. My avatar is a photo of me, but here is a larger version for those interested. The photo was taken about 2 weeks ago at my desk. A couple tidbits of info, the image on my monitor is a Google search result for "Michael Piller" as I was looking for a particular image of one of greatest heroes. On the laptop is one of my DVD Audio Commentaries in the editing stage. - Sebastian.
Ok, I'm the one in the skirt...ok, the one with the beard, in the skirt. Actually it's a kilt and I (used) to compete in the Scottish Highland Athletics. This was the 2006 Mesa, Arizona Highland Games...I won the overall championship and that claymore was the trophy. And that's my beautiful wife Joyce.
And this is my wife and I on the North Shore of O'ahu, Hawai'i....a paradise to say the least.

You don't need a digital camera... you can do it the old fashion way and use a real picture and scanner or find someone with a camera phone. There are a bunch of ways to post a picture online. Not that you have too.. some folks like there privacy and that's cool. I'm just saying if you want to post a pic.. there is always a way.

Well since several of you posted couple pictures I thought I would post one as well.. this is Harry and I in front of Lake Isabella in central California. This was in 2005 when we did our Northern California trip.. this was such a beautiful place.
That is an amazing pic, must have been an great view.
It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.. we only passes through there. I have always wanted to go back and stay for a while.

Nice to see your face!
Ah well i get the Simon Pegg look a like when i have my little beard so here's a picture with that.
Thanks for the comment Rick and Rico
Thanks for posting pixs.. you do look familiar...
Here is a picture of myself and the Twins. Their Mum is taking the picture whilst bribing them with a lollipop. Notice the Devilish red glint in the eyes.... (Cue the Omen music)
Oh, and I get the Harry Hill lookalike all the time (only the Brits will know this chap)
Ha Ha fab picture, that must be some lollipop.
They're very cute!
They are a couple of "devilish cuties" there trekkygeek. ;)
Almost time here in Michigan for the top to go down on Rico's ride again!
I'm not too sure which looks cooler? The excellent car or those legs!!!!
Here I am at Easter. At of all places church
Here's one of me at the summit of Mont Tremblant two weekends ago. It's a very popular ski hill in Quebec. Fran (my wife) and I decided we'd take a 'blue' (read: easy) marked trail down. As soon as we began, we came across a black diamond ski run named 'Vertige' (which in English means 'vertigo'). Fran suggests we walk down it instead of staying on the 'easy' path.
Mistake #1.
Now that we were off path we got stuck going down a couple of other blac diamond ski runs and eventually ended up on some unused mountain biking trails.
Finally we got down the mountain, 825 vertical meters (about 2700 feet). Being that we took a circuitous route down the mountain I'm ont sure how much distance we covered overall but it was a ton of fun and we have black fly bites to show for it!

Bertrand Russell used the concept of a 'celestial teapot' (usually called 'Russell's Teapot') to refute the claim that the burden of proof is on the sceptic to disprove the claims of a believer -
"If I were to suggest that between the Earth and Mars there is a china teapot revolving about the sun in an elliptical orbit, nobody would be able to disprove my assertion provided I were careful to add that the teapot is too small to be revealed even by our most powerful telescopes. But if I were to go on to say that, since my assertion cannot be disproved, it is an intolerable presumption on the part of human reason to doubt it, I should rightly be thought to be talking nonsense. If, however, the existence of such a teapot were affirmed in ancient books, taught as the sacred truth every Sunday, and instilled into the minds of children at school, hesitation to believe in its existence would become a mark of eccentricity and entitle the doubter to the attentions of the psychiatrist in an enlightened age or of the Inquisitor in an earlier time."
I like the idea of a microscopic teapot orbiting around us, particularly as I'm hugely addicted to tea and agrees with Douglas Adams's assertion that a proper cup of tea will restore normality.
Ahh Yes, the Law according to Eastenders
"Sit dahhhn, I'll put the kettle on and we'll 'ave a nice cuppa tea, then everyfin will be alwight."
It truly works wanders.
I knew people who live in Brighton are really cock-a-knee's ha ha ha, oops best duck before Tim throws a teapot at me. ;)

It was at The Puyallup Fair("Do the Puyallup") in Washington state in September. Several members of 501st Legion were there, so I took the opportunity to take a picture with one of the gentlemen.
Nice to see some new pics guys. Cool stuff!
Great to see you Wraith and M-5. Looks like you both went to some super cool places.

Sam actually Loves Star Trek. He will watch TOS with me. We are working our way thru season 1 at the moment. He likes Miri, and the one with the stranded children.
LOL, I think I would have the same expression if I went to a Monster Truck Rally. I prefer classic car shows. :) Great pics. Your little boy with is very cute.

Add Star Wars toy's light and sounds with kids that have parents with no control over them and then let them loose in the store. Oh and the parents never pay for the toys because then they'd have to deal with it at home. They quit selling them because it was more hassle with nothing sold.

Clearly a man or woman who knows both children and parents. Having things like that at home would be a pain :)
Every kid (and grownup) needs a lightsaber to swing around! :)
I'd love one...I just don't fancy the sort of destruction my 7 year old son would do with one. (Maybe I should get them for me and the girls?)

We film a lot of our classes actually so we can review them as instructors. I'd love to see you in BodyCombat too Dan.
Lol not sure I'd survive!
I've done a couple of BodyPump classes a few years back and that nearly killed me!
BodyPump is great too, all conditioning. Combat is cardio. Really take it easy at first and keeping with it over time you build into it. Everybody goes through the hard time beginning and even I had that, but it gets easier with time. Also you start pushing yourself really hard once you've done it a bunch (that's when working out becomes an addiction). I have to take Pump and Combat in a row (and Flow for a cooldown) to get a really good workout these days and I love it so much.
Okay this is me in Las Vegas with you know who. I'm glad I got to the experience for a couple visits before they closed it down.
Okay smarty pants I'm the one on the right! ::)
And yet again in Las Vegas. With my friends.
Nice! Been to The Experience 2x myself back over the last few years before it closed.
I was surprised they closed the experienced when they did, if they had held out a little longer the next film was going to open.
Kinda new here, but here's me!
Welcome and LOVE the autograph wall! Very nice!
Yeah, I think we're all trying to spot all the autographs but that's us! ;)
Welcome.. like the name Chris-El.. big Superman fan??
Yes, since I was knee high to a Ferengi.
Here's a view of the autos, of course I have a bunch more, just pared it down to cut sown on clutter. My wife and I wanted our nice new house to remain somewhat neat. I have my area here by the PC and with 4 kids I'm lucky to have it!
Nice pic Chris. I didn't know Commander Riker was part of our forum group now?
"Make it so, number one!" ;)
Thanks for the close up!

Ha, it's just the hair and beard. I have gotten that quite a bit, ESPECIALLY being a Star Trek fan. Oh well, once I find a look I stick with it. Cold be worse I suppose.
Cool!
You should get more room for your autos, Chris-El!!
I know, I need to have a set up like Rico! Just no space with 4 kids and all. Plus, it's in my living rm area and I wanted it to look as neat as possible. When a kid moves out, I'll claim their room for my own!
Great photos, good to see ya and awesome autograph wall. :)
Here's me. I am not responsible for any damage incurrred by seeing the attached document!
Kind of look like John Locke :)
I see a beer festival pint glass in your hand sir ;)
Not this time, its a 40th birthday glass. But, having said that went to a great beer festival in my Welsh hometown. 30+ beers on offer, Porters and ciders. Good stuff. Apparently I had a good time! Also, just down the road in Llangollen there is a "rail & Ale"excursion. A steam train ride with railway themed beers for sale. it has to be done!
John Locke has a few years on me.
Sweet, the Banana Jr. 6000 looks pretty good on the seasonal snow layout!
i some how i have missed this posting, but here goes, and please no stalkers ok? lol
Nice goodies shelf in the background. :)
The only picture on my computer I'm actually in.
Also I haven't been on the board in a long time, good to see it's still zipping along
