The guys over at New Voyages have released a teaser trailer for thier next upcoming episode, "Blood and Fire."  It's looking very good!  Here's a bit more on it:

Blood and Fire, Part 1.
Based on an script written by David Gerrold (Trouble with Tribbles), "Blood and Fire" was originally planned for The Next Generation. The script, an AIDS allegory that was considered two controversial 20 years ago, has been adapted to The Original Series era by Carlos Pedraza. Gerrold is also back as the director. Denise Crosby (TNG: Tasha Yar) has guest role playing a scientist, but it isn't central to the story. This episode is also the first to feature Ben Tolpin as Mr. Spock.

Here is the official description from the Phase II site:

Pursued and damaged by repeated Klingon attacks, the crew of the Enterprise must respond to the distress call from a Federation research ship. In a matter of hours the ship and crew will be consumed by a nearby star and the crew of the Enterprise will be consumed by an mysterious horror that threatens both ships as the Klingons watch and wait. .

Target for Halloween
Producer and star James Cawley tells TrekMovie he hopes to have Part 1 of "Blood and Fire" out by October 31st, with Part 2 following a few months after. That will be followed later in 2009 by "Enemy: Starfleet" which will feature Barbara Luna and the just-revealed refitted Enterprise (and the above teaser shows why the ship needed those new nacelles!). Cawley says that the team are planning to go back into production in October to shoot the next episode "The Child," written and directed by Jon Povill. They will also do some final pick-up shots for "Enemy: Starfleet."

Fan Film SERIES. :)

There are three episodes already out; featuring some of the actors from the original series- Koenig plays an older version of Chekov in one episode, and Takei reprises the role of Captain Sulu in another.  Really good series!

Part one of this will be coming out on December 20th.  Read on,....

"Blood and Fire: Part One", will be released on December 20, 2008 as a holiday gift to fans. The fourth episode completed by Star Trek: New Voyages, and the first produced under the Star Trek New Voyages: Phase II moniker, "Blood and Fire" was written by Carlos Pedraza and David Gerrold, based on an original TNG script by David Gerrold.

The horrific story finds a battle damaged Enterprise caught between an incurable contagion that threatens to overrun the galaxy, the pull of a dying star, and Klingons poised to attack. Like all of the best Star Trek episodes, "Blood and Fire" finds the Enterprise crew facing their own human fears and failings as they have to weigh the costs and decide how much personal risk to take in order to save the people around them.

Gerrold wrote the story of contagion as a metaphor for the AIDS pandemic and the episode is dedicated to the gifted Star Trek alumni the world has lost to the disease: William Ware Thesis, Mike Minor and Merritt Buttrick. It was also Gerrold's intention to challenge the apathy of the public regarding the small sacrifice, yet far reaching power, of blood donations. Based on an original TNG script that was shelved because of the mention of a gay crewman aboard the Enterprise, "Blood and Fire" for Star Trek New Voyages: Phase II honors Gene Roddenberry's vision of a non-judgmental future with the inclusion of a gay couple as part of the principle action of the story.

David Gerrold directed the episode which features guest stars Denise Crosby ("Tasha Yar" from TNG), Bill Blair and Evan Fowler; and reintroduces the character of Captain Kirk's nephew, Peter, played by Bobby Rice. The anticipated release of the conclusion "Blood and Fire: Part Two", episode 5, is expected in the near future.

Looks good! I have enjoyed alll their other episodes so I'm sure I'll find this one entertaining as well. I just wish they were releasing both parts at the same time instead of making us wait months for the conclusion.

Part one is out!  It actually contains the teaser and four acts so it is fairly long already.  I won't comment much about it - yet.  You can get it off their web site here:  http://www.startreknewvoyages.com/

Or download it from my host where I just uploaded the various parts.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!

Pretty much thought the story was bad so far.  Here is why:
1. - No explanation why the teaser battle happened.
2. - The love scene was WHY too long and it seems added for shock value.  I don't have a problem with homosexual relationships but this is a distraction and brings the story to a crawl.
3. - "Plan 9" is not a great plot device because the other ship is already going to be destroyed.

Basically the script is weak.  Don't get me wrong I love New Voyages but this one is a dog.  I could go on (bad lighting, horrible acting, etc.) but I won't.  The key to ANY show is a great story and this one is not.  Sorry, it seems that they made the right choice when this was rejected for TNG.  I did think the tribute to Majel was nice and the sets were great but the story sucks (no pun intended).

I'm going to agree with feek61.

1.  No explanation, seems they put it in for the heck of it.
2.  I hate long love scenes.  Doesn't matter who is kissing who, if its too long its toooooooo long and this was.
3.  Agree, Plan 9 is mildly lame for plot device.
4.  Is it just me?  But the script is really lame for this episode.  "What kind of idiot sets a suicide course?" What?  Sorry, that's not Star Trek.  The lighting is horrible too.  I was disgruntled by the end of this episode and for Star Trek New Voyages....I mean sorry, Phase Two (which btw is lame) its not a very good episode.  The acting didn't help at all and is it just me or does Bones seem really off his crocker compared to usual Bones.
