Title: Compiling The Past Seasons into PDF format
Post by: Jen on November 10, 2007, 12:07:04 PM
A couple of readers in another post, requested that the previous RPG seasons be compiled into format that they could download and read in several e-books. I've been working on Season One and I need someone to take what I compiled and check it to make sure the tenses are correct (one or two people wrote in first person instead of third) and I'm fixing spelling mistakes. I reordered a few posts in my PDF file, so that they are easier for people to read in this format. I'm thinking of breaking them into chapters as well. I think King and Just X mentioned they would be willing to help. Maybe you guys could compile the second and third seasons into two different word docs? We could pass them back and forth between one another to check for mistakes and what not.

Moyer, Kenny, Iceman, and Pepperdude have been writing since day one. I really enjoyed reading the entry posts for these characters. Once it's all fixed you should go back and read what you wrote...if you started in the more recent seasons...swing by and read the first few pages of the first Season.

I also think at some point we should figure out what happened to Captain Bell. I guess he's the Captain Pike of our on-going story.  :D

I'll let you know when I finish up. We may provide it for download on the Wikipedia or here.

Hey, I'm down with compiling any of the season. Where would you like me to begin?

Yea, I'm down with it too.  It may take me longer to do, but just tell me what needs done and I'll do it!

Cool. Choose a Season (I'm working on Season One) and copy each post and paste them into Word. Then start arranging the posts so that it flows better. Sometimes the ones that go together are several pages apart. Check spelling and whatnots. And pass it around for proofing. I may need your help X, figuring out where to make the chapter breaks. I'm only halfway through Season one and it is 44 pages long!

I had to put mine aside for a week or two, as I'm working on Rico's video and will be trying to get our podcast up on iTunes finally. But I'll finish the editing of Season one after Thanksgiving.

Thanks for your help guys!

I'll start working on Season 3.  heh heh, I actually liked that one better.  Though 4 is quickly becoming my most favorite.  I'm going to be fairly busy with editng that video too.  But I'll start getting to work on Season 3 when a couple tests are done this week.  (Today/tomorrow).

Glad to help!

Just make sure the story remains the same... Edit typos and punctuation and things like that. :)

Psh.  Geez Jen, I see you trust me....I wasn't going to change anything......big....you know, its not like an alien invasion would happen right in the middle of the story or anything.  I'm just saying.....nothing big.......*pout*

lol jk.  I'll make sure its alright.

no rush King. This isn't a necessity. I still haven't finished mine either...and won't be for another week or so.

I'm resurrecting this post to confirm this:
1.  Did either of you work on Season 3?  I won't be mad or anything, I really let this go as I got distracted by movie/college/winter break.
2. Do you still wish for me to do Season 3?

I haven't done anything for a while. That's fine King. It would be good to finally get that done. Just put it in a word doc and we'll work on typos and editing for ease of reading (rearranging posts so they are easier to follow).
