Yeah could very well be an XP compatiblity issue, especially if there is a client (or is it a server?) you have to install on the machine.

Yes you have to install the server on the computer.

For those wanting to get the app to work over the Internet, here is a support document from their web site that speaks to how to do it:

Hey, on a different app subject.  Anyone know of a good iPad screen capture program?  Something to save a pic of whatever you have on screen at the time?  I'm not sure if it's really possible to do this since the iPad doesn't really multi-task exactly, but I thought I'd ask.

Hey - Google to the rescue.  If you press in the power button on the side and the home button together, quickly and at the same time a screenshot will be taken and save to your iPad.  Pretty cool stuff!

not sure if anyone has said this already, but google earth. it's free and you can see the whole world! plus when you switch to space mode you can go stargazing from anywhere.

Anybody recommend an app for designing logos or creating images from scratch? I want tovcreate original designs with text to use online.

Or the iPad guide helps too, but yes that is how you take screen pics :)

Btw I tried the splashtop app in the wild, even over wifi is it is not particularly fast or snappy.  Now granted, the home wifi can't upload a tremendous amount to the Internet very quickly so that might affect it too.

Hey Wordpress bloggers/users.  What App do you use to update your Wordpress sites with using an iPhone or iPad?  And I mean a Wordpress site hosted on my own - not at Wordpress.com or Wordpress.org.

KingIsaacLinksr

I'm using the official app...but I'm pretty sure that's not what you need so I couldn't tell you on that one.  =\

The "official" app only works with Wordpress hosted stuff.  I'm looking for an app to make mobile posting to Wordpress sites easier - rather than just doing it via the browser.
