I actually think this is a good idea because the Star Wars books, much like Star Trek, have become too numerous for any fan that wanted to start reading Star Wars novels to even know where to begin. I've collected and followed the Trek novels for years and this might hook me into buying Star Wars novels to at least fill in some gaps leading up to the movie. If the first couple are good reads I'll probably continue and if not I'll just stick with my Trek collecting.
