Saw a commerical during BSG.. looks interesting.
SCI FI has ordered 11 hours of the original drama, which stars Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly and Saul Rubinek.
After saving the life of the president, two Secret Service agents find themselves abruptly transferred to Warehouse 13--a massive, top-secret storage facility in windswept South Dakota, which houses every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object and supernatural souvenir ever collected by the U.S. government.
The warehouse's caretaker, Artie (Rubinek), charges Pete (McClintock) and Myka (Kelly) with chasing down reports of supernatural and paranormal activity in search of new objects to cache at the warehouse, as well as with helping him to control the warehouse itself.
Production is slated to begin this February in Toronto for a July 2009 premiere.
That does sound pretty interesting.
Sounds like something I'd want to watch.
Premieres next Tuesday. Looking forward to it - kind of reminds me of Special Unit 2.
Good to see Rubinek as Artie. Neat website http://www.scifi.com/warehouse13/#/home (http://www.scifi.com/warehouse13/#/home)
Don't forget this starts this Tuesday July 7th at 9pm pm on Scifi (or is it Syfy now?) anyways.. looks pretty cool.. they are calling the first episode a cross between X-Files and Raiders of the Lost Ark.
TIVO is already set.
Sounds cool
I enjoyed this show, cool stuff.
I too liked the show.
Reminds me of the old Friday 13th series - just not as gross
Just as I would expect - quirky with some serious moments. Good addition to the syfy (going to take a wHile to get used to that) lineup.
Interesting that they set it in the badlands of South Dakota. North Dakota would have made more sense to me; they have lots and lots of nothing up there (still have some badlands, though).
if you missed it on SyFy, you can still catch it on Oxygen, Bravo, and USA. Anyone else creeped out by the incestuousness of all these channels mingling their programming?

Anyone heard of a UK take up for this?
I just finished watching the first, pilot episode and liked it a lot. The main two leads are appealing and it has a little X Files type vibe but different too. With a little of "The Librarian" tossed in as well. I'll be watching each week.
I hope to watch it sometime this weekend...
I managed to catch the first half of the pilot this weekend and hopefully will watch the rest this week. I went into this figuring it would be a tiresome rehash of several other "scavenger hunt" shows. (Friday the 13th the Series for example) I was pleased to find it very entertaining.

I can live with it being on Sci-Fi. At least we still have a channel by that name :)
We finished the pilot last night, just in time for the next episode (love/hate DVR sometimes). I think we'll keep watching. As was mentioned once, quirky. The little bits of humor keep me interested; it takes an astounding show to keep me interested if it doesn't have any funny in it. This show also makes me want to retrofit my keyboard with typewriter keys. Oh, and gotta give kudos to using Iowa in the first episode. Woo!

I really enjoyed episode 2.
Favorite scene is when the guy has his cape open with the speakers and everything gets all ripply. :) What a cool show.
Tonights episode - great Halloweeney ending. Really enjoying this show.
All caught up on this series now. Just watched the one from this week that had some "Trek - type" of things happening. This show is a lot of fun and I'm enjoying it every week more and more. A definite must see for Sci-Fi or SyFy fans. ;)
News from a Trekkygeek tweet is that this will air on Sci-Fi in the UK starting September 8th.
Must set my DVR...
Syfy loads up 'Warehouse 13'
Hourlong dramedy gets second season
By STUART LEVINE
'Warehouse 13'
'Warehouse 13' centers around Secret Service agents who investigate missing and supernatural objects.
Syfy has given a second-season order to "Warehouse 13."
Hourlong dramedy about Secret Service agents who investigate missing and newly found supernatural objects is the most-watched show in Syfy's 17-year history, averaging 3.7 million viewers a week and 1.4 million in the 18-49 demo.
Pickup was expected as the pilot launched on July 7 to strong numbers and subsequent episodes have remained resilient. Unlike other Syfy series, "Warehouse 13" has a near 50% female viewership and is performing better in its first season than the first season of "Battlestar Galactica," which ended its four-season run in March.
Thirteen episodes have been ordered for season two and, as with "Battlestar," that number could go up in subsequent seasons.
"We took a look at doing 20 episodes, but for logistic and financial reasons, it didn't make sense to do that right now, but I wouldn't rule it out," Syfy president Dave Howe told Daily Variety.
"Warehouse 13" shoots in Vancouver and will continue to air in the summer.
Series, which runs at 9 p.m. Tuesdays, is produced by Universal Cable Prods. Jack Kenny and David Simkins are exec producers.
"We've told people we're out there, and it's paid off," Kenny said.
Watched the Pilot on SlyFly, it was OK.
Got caught up on the rest thanks to HULU, the second episode hooked me good. It had so much heart to it, I loved it! The others were fun too, the hacking into the warehouse segments were a great way to tease the audience and hint to what might be in store. And I love the new 'rocker chick' character, she will be a great counterbalance to the supervisor.
I look forward to more episodes. :metallica:
Yep great series - it's my current favorite on SyFy.
As we briefly touched on in the podcast this past weekend, Warehouse 13 has been renewed!!!
Syfy has renewed its hit freshman drama "Warehouse 13" for a second season. The show continues to draw strong ratings for the network, especially among female viewers....
Tuesday night folks on SyFy - watch it! I know you'll enjoy it!
Quick reminder - starts over here (UK) tomorrow night on Sci-Fi at 9pm.

Oh, that's great. A fun & cool show, well worth watching. We still have a couple of episodes left to air here.
I watched the opening two hours 'almost live' last night and it certainly looks promising. I'm not sure about the provenance of the 'purple goo' but I guess they need something to fill that role and goo is as good as anything.
I loved all the little gadgets with the throwaway lines like Tesla's 'stun gun' and the electric car that Ford had turned down because he wanted people to buy new engines. A lovely idea that I assume will come up again.
I have quite a number of unanswered questions but I guess that's the point of a pilot. I'm certainly watching next week to see where it goes from here.
Glad you liked it so far Mike. More will be revealed - and more cool gadgets and artifacts to come. I'm really liking the main characters at this point. I think we have a couple episodes left over here for this season.
I've watched the first 2 episodes and found them a little.....meh!
I keep hearing how much it improves as it goes on. Is this the case? I really hope so, because it hasn't really grabbed me yet.
Also, it states in the opening titles that this is a "SyFy" produced show. Thats the first time I've seen the SyFy written down. It looks dreadful! I hope our Sci-Fi channel doesn't change it's name!
I think it does. They go a bit more into the character backgrounds. Mrs. Frederick is the quintesential straight-man. Last episode is next week. I think they made about 10-12. I expect it SyFy is going to be a global change so get used to it.
I missed the SyFy when I just watched yesterdays episode. I'll keep an eye out for it next week.
I'm still quite enjoying it. The whole music story was a bit strange and lacked a bit of the techno-wow factor that I might have liked but it was still quite fun. I think I'm in for the long haul on this one.
Good episode this week. Great to see Michael Hogan from BSG. I like how they really use "the team" in this series. One more episode next week to go for the season.
I'm really excited for next weeks finale. I was a little iffy on the show at first, but I'm really loving it now.
Seen four or five now and I'm really enjoying it. Last week we had the Vulcan salute episode and this week was the redshirt reerence. This is a show that is both interesting and references other fun things I watch - so many things to watch out for!

I've dropped this one. It just wasn't interesting me. Though I've heard it improves later and I may try to pick it up again towards the latter part of the series (but I doubt it!)
I really love this series and already miss it since the first season ended here. Some great and very cool stuff they discover and the characters are a lot of fun. So happy it got a second season and did well in the ratings. Can't wait until it returns.
We met "the higher up's" or whatever they're called this week - including one guy I'm sure I recognise from Firefly - while the Warehouse almost shut down from a problem with the goo-ery in the basement.
Quite light-hearted even though it did touch on the ongoing McPhereson thread.
Still loving this one.
Last episode coming up on Tuesday over here.
I've really enjoyed this series. The characters are good and work together well and I like the way new characters have been introduced and built up throughout the run.
I'm going to miss this when it's gone.
Hi, I'm new here. I didn't even know that Warehouse 13 was still on the air. My wife and I lost interest after about the 6th or 7th episode. We felt the main characters were trying to be a poor excuse for Mulder and Scully and the story lines were a poor excuse for X-Files. In fact, we thought everyone but the two main characters were interesting.
I think that is what put me off. Warehouse 13 was like a brighter and more cheerful X-Files....and I prefered the darker and more brooding feel of X Files.
I guess I just didn't need to make the comparison. For what it was I enjoyed it.
That may also be coloured by the fact that by the time X-files finished I'd faded well away from it anyway. I didn't see the last season, probably the last two or three.
TBH, I think I need to revisit this...and quite a few other shows too. I usually see only the best in TV showsand movies. I'm a Star Wars prequel lover. I don't mind Star Trek, The Motion Picture. I love both Heroes and Lost.....
...but for this last year or so, I seem to be harshly judging shows. Stuff that I would normally enjoy and, on re-watching, often have! Perhaps I'm just becoming more cynical with age.....
I'm a big fan of this series and felt it really picked up and got even better as it went on. Can't wait for it to return.
I'll be tuning in just to see what happened after the last seasons cliff-hanger ending.
You've got to be glad they got renewed after that. Anything else would have been torture!
I was a bit sceptical at first, but I loved it. It's not the greatest thing I've ever seen, it's fun and quirky with random little moments. I keep thinking of things that might turn out to be objects :))

Yes, although I can't claim WH13 as my favourite show, it's still entertaining and I find myself wondering what's going to happen next.
I have a love/hate relationship with warehouse 13, I love the steam punk style, the characters and the little ties to history, but some of the plots and the relationships get to sappy.

Yeah, I like the "unknown advanced tech" they regularly use like the tesla gun and the farnsworth communicator and Artie's computer with the type writer keys. I agree with you on some of the plots too, but it's still a pretty good show.
Hehe I love the "might work or might not" on most of the stuff, and the most random things they can think of, the disco ball, whats next the pen Gene Roddenberry used to write trek that will cause the user to see the world as star trek?
I think with the Tesla gun we need a Warehouse 13/Sanctuary crossover. Let's get Tesla himself into the show.
(Actually I don't think the two worlds would cross-over well so I'd as soon not see it.)
Yeah they would not meld well. One says its creatures the other says its items controls people and messes with others.
Just watched the season opener. This show has a definite appeal - and now they have a "special" guest for this season.
Great cliffhangers
Off to a good start for season two. I've missed this series. Lots of great props in it too. I'm actually putting together the pieces to make my own Farnsworth. :)
I'm not happy with the crossover they plan to do. Lots of Warehouse 13 deals with supernatural.. How will it fit in with the other show... (Intentionally left vague for spoiler reasons)
There's still no sign of this showing up over here in a reasonable time. Last season we were watching it within a week of the US (I think) but it looks like that's not going to happen this time around.
Still, I'm halfway through the first episode at this point and it seems to be steaming in at full pace. I'm struggling a bit to remember the final episode of the last series though!
Crossover?

The most recent episode set in Detroit dealing with geeks and comics was awesome! And it was even more awesome because we got to see two Firefly stars: Jewel Staite (Kaylee) and Sean Maher (Simon) which was very cool. Especially since I'm covering "Firefly" on the podcast in two days. Loving this season so far.

Yeah two Scifi shows are crossing over for two episodes. I think it's going to be interesting since they are the two best shows on the network right now.
Will the second episode (which I haven't seen yet) tell me what they are or do I need other information?

No. I don't think this is a big secret or hard to figure out. W13 is crossing over with Eureka.

Ah. Eureka is something I've yet to see although a work colleague is working on me.
Really enjoying this second season so far. Fun episode this week too. I really like the relationship between Mika & Pete and also Arte & Claudia. Oh, found some great pics of some of the cast from last year's Comic Con. The guy that take these shots is really good.

There was an episode on this week?! Crap, for some reason, our DirecTV didn't show a new episode so it didn't record for us. That sucks. I love this show. Great cast...
They will have it on www.hulu.com (http://www.hulu.com) next week. Or you can use my "patented" method for acquiring shows like this detailed in the Member's Only section.
:) Thanks Rico!
Just watched the crossover episode. Despite never having seen Eureka (I know, don't nag...) I thought it was by far the best of the season yet. It might have had something to do with the 'other' guest star, of course, someone I always enjoy seeing.
His lala type portrayal of the ex-warehouse agent was hilarious and quite endearing. The alter-ego of the computer system with the 'Magnum moustache' wasn't bad either.
The lightsber moment was epic!
I know, this show just keeps getting better.
Just saw last week's episode. Really enjoyed it. The overall story was just ok, but it was the character stuff that made it special.
Glad to see H.G. back. She's an interesting character and I liked the dynamic of her working with Mica. It will be cool to see where this all goes. And seeing Lindsay Wagner was great too!
I agree Rico. I think the story is good, but the characters really make the show good. I think Pete is a riot. Al
Really enjoying the last couple of episodes and this whole season a lot. This is quickly becoming my favorite current SF type show on. The characters continue to be interesting and cool. The artifacts are fun and the overall story is getting nice and deep. Good stuff!
I've never watched this but I have heard good things and ever since the one quirky girl did a crossover with Eureka I have been wanting to watch it. How many seasons are there?
So, what did everyone think of Lindsay Wagner? It was fun seeing her again.

Only in season two now Kenny. Real easy to catch up. I think you would really like it.
P.S. Seeing Lindsay was fun. Especially since she was at the Chicago con two weeks ago. She seems really nice.
I think this season is pretty fun, I'm liking it a lot. I hope this show lasts.
I thought Lindsay was very good. I hope she gets to come back for more episodes. I had a great discussion with her at Comic Con on Friday night. Talked for five minutes or so. Classy lady. Watch her son in the upcoming Green Lantern movie!
It would be awesome to get Lindsay and Lee Majors together in an episode of Warehouse 13!

Two seasons and I think the first was only thirteen episodes or so, so that's almost a half season for you guys. It's really easy watching and good fun too. Do it!
Really awesome episode this week! Loved all the period stuff and look for a couple actors when you watch the episode who we have seen before in other TV favorites and one Trek series. Here are a couple of pics I screen grabbed from this one to whet your appetite.
Nice homage to The Time Machine and Quantum Leap
And Back To The Future...anyone catch the "Flux Capacitor" on the machine part of HG's Time Machine? Looked exactly like Doc Emit Browns Flux Capacitor!

Yeah, I saw that but they did make it look a little different. Cool episode and great season so far.
"Get your a** to mars!" (asterixed for obvious reasons :P)
Really, really enjoying this season. I hope this lives on for many years to come. I'm not quite up to date (one or two behind the US) but really enjoying the interactions with some of the recurring characters as well as between the main cast. A class show.
The first of the two part mid-season finale was very cool. Part Indiana Jones, part Macgyver. And my Lindsay Wagner got a small part too. Can't wait to see what good ole HG is up to.
...and don't forget Laura Croft: Tomb Raider!! H.G. looked very much like Laura.

Can't wait for next weeks episode!
This is finally lauching over here on SyFy this week.
Thursday night, 9pm IIRC. My favourite show at the moment.
Claudia & Fargo have to get together again, that was a great crossover
How did everyone like the season finale (or mid-season finale?)? Thought it was pretty good. Lots of emotion in this one too and some sad things. I really care about all these characters a lot now. And the show is just a lot of fun too. Already can't wait for it to return.
Humbug.
We're back to the bad old days as far as trans-Atlantic TV goes. We've had the season opener only so far (even if I have seen more than that). It makes it very hard to discuss the show since by the time we see the finale it'll be ancient history for you :(
Special Christmas episode coming up on Dec. 7th! Woot!!
WH13 "Secret Santa" (2) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mTIWsQ34_0#ws)
I need to find that over here then. Last episode of the latest series airs this coming Thursday.
Having finally caught it, I enjoyed the end to the season and the conclusion of the larger arcs that have been running this year. There are still a few unsanswered questions in my mind but nothing that's burning me as a 'should have been resolved' issue.
I like the way that any hanging threads are of a completely different form to those left hanging last year. It makes a change from the 'everyone in imminent danger of peril' endings that so many shows seem to rely on.
In a spoiler free way can anuyone tell me if the Christmas episode follows on from this season or is it a standalone story?

Thanks.
Couple of pics I grabbed off the Christmas special. Fun episode!
Warehouse 13 kicking off its third season July 11th at 9 p.m
Awrsome! (Just like Eureka coming back!)
Warehouse has pretty short seasons doesn't it? Eureka's only half through and this is already onto the next round.
Still, I'll be glad to see it back.
i need to see that special... ;)
Really enjoyed the premiere last night. I don't think they needed another character Jinx. But I do like his little power they gave him. And I really like Myka's longer hair! And I really like the ideas they come up with for the artifacts they have to find. And could they stop having Pete wear Michigan Wolverine shirts. YUCK!
It was a cool way to bring Myka back into helping the agents and 2 parts that I thought were funny were when Pete's shirt got ripped open during the fight in the hotel. He noticed women lokking at him and he said. "Ladies, free of charge." LOL And at the end when he said to Jinx you only leave the Warehouse in a box and Jinx was laughing until Pete looked at him. Even though Myka left and she wasn't in a box so a little odd to say that. Oh, well.
i have it on DVR. i'll watch it this afternoon. :)

Will, I actually like the new paradigm. Jinx brings a little mediation between Pete and Myka. And, I have a feeling they'll be playing up the sexual tension between the two, so having Jinx in the middle could add some interesting plot devices. And yeah, I LOVE his ability. Kind of cool and the actor plays it well. Anyone recognize him? Bobby "Iceman" from XMen! Also, notice Pete do his "Kirk-OUT" think on the Farnsworth? :) Cool. I remember about 3 months or so ago Eddie McClintock posted on Twitter about being psyched up because he got to do that. He's a bit of a Trek geek!
Oh...And Eureka!! AWESOME! Great episode. And next week...oh, next week will be COOL. Codex herself is in it!!!!! :) The only thing that could make that cooler is if Zaboo was in Eureka too :)
finished the recording. that was great!
i really liked the whole "kirk out" thing. i was not expecting that. and all of the ways they tied the artifacts together. very clever.
!!? REALLY?? I did not know that. What a trip. They do look so much alike. Thanks X for sharing that.
"Warehouse 13" is probably my favorite show on Syfy right now. I absolutely love the concept of the artifacts, I love Artie and Claudia... and I really love the new character. And I was really pleased with the first episode of season 3 that aired last night.
Although,
I find it hard to believe that Hamlet's dying words would be the ones Myka had trouble remembering. Really?
Also, I don't know if anyone's been reading about this season, or if you would consider this spoilery, but...
Steve (Jinks) is gay. It wasn't really addressed (that I noticed) in last night's episode. The only reason I even bring it up is that I was just reading about last night's ratings on Syfy (http://blastr.com/2011/07/last-nights-alphas-was-th.php (http://blastr.com/2011/07/last-nights-alphas-was-th.php)), and there was a comment on the article that read, in part: "I really love Warehouse 13, but decided to quit being a viewer since they were going to force their gay agenda down my throat. WHAT? I'm shocked and horrified by this comment. I flagged it on blastr, and even posted a response of my own, even though I usually try to stay out of comment wars. I'm incensed. Hopefully others are also flagging this comment (go forth and flag, friends!) and it will be removed soon. Bigotry of any kind is unacceptable.
I thought science-fiction fans were supposed to be open-minded and forward thinking. okay, rant over.
Warehouse 13 is thankfully on Hulu.com. Watching it now. :)

Yuck! Did I just say that?"

I agree with you. I saw that on Twitter (you posted actually) and couldn't for the life of my remember even hearing that during the episode. My question for those who have a problem is....SO THE "F" WHAT?! We have so many idiot, small minded, ridiculously moronic small minded people in the world, that it was inevitable that a few would sneak into OUR world (geeky-sci-fi) unnoticed. I for one am glad that idiot poster is not watching WH13 anymore. We don't NEED them. I'm sorry...this is a rant I often go off on especially when people call themselves "enlightened" or even worse...Christians, and act like THAT!
Really liked the character of Jinks and I'm glad the show is back.
As for the bigots... As with all bigotry there is no logic or reason behind it, just hate. And ignorance.
Its funny, had I not been told that he was gay, never would have seen it. (Still can't see it) Which begs the question: why does it matter.
Anyway, great episode and great way to start off the new....season? :)

Really enjoyed the first episode back for the season. I like the new guy too. As far some of this talk about his sexual orientation - first what does it matter? Second, it hasn't even really come up on the show yet. So, I really don't understand what the big deal is all about. I was more shocked by Pete's new hair cut/combing. Looks funny on him. :)
I agree with you guys on the Kirk out thing that was cool. And when he said Jinx was Spock and he did the Vulcan salute. AWESOME! Monday's this summer will have me in front of the TV.
Pretty sure he has done the Kirk out thing before. Pete has also tossed around other Trek references like redshirts too and other things from time to time. Claudia has done it as well, calling herself "Warehouse 13, the Next Generation."
just finished the recording from monday. "trial" has to be among my favorites so far.
Yep, really good episode. I like the background voice over stuff with Myka too. I'm liking the new guy more and more as well.
Yeah, I think this is going to be a pretty good season. I like the new guy as well. Adds a second layer of story possibilities.
Enjoyed this weeks episode. Claudia was great in it. And Myka found a great way to turn off a garbage disposal!!

Here's an awesome trailer for the current season of W13! If you don't watch this series, I dare you to watch this trailer not get interested in watching this very cool show. Also, watch for a certain very attractive Borg in this set of clips. ;)
Warehouse 13 - Comic-Con 2011 - S3 Trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBQKQVjFeSM#ws)
And check out these guest stars too!
I already love this show!! And that was a great clip! Cool episodes to come!
was it just me or did i not see a very attractive Borg.... ???
Oh! Shes there! turtlesrock.
Good episode last night. Really liked Cladia in this one. And the storyline with Pete and Myka. :roflmao
Neat to see Lindsey Wagner again and favorite quote of the night "I'm good but I've never changed a woman's hair color." Pete to Myka. lol
Yep, another great episode last night. This show is really rocking this season - like it has all along.
i watched half of the DVR recording before dinner. now dad is watching the news... may have to wait till tomorrow to finish.
New series starts Thursday 4th August 9pm on SyFy UK.
just finished the episode
BEWARE serious spoilers ahead!
i love the ending where claudia just starts smiling and jumping, then looks at artie and quickly walks away  plus how myka and pete set up the "situation" so they would leave a trail to find. brilliant!
Well, found out that Warehouse 13 (along with Eureka) will not be on Hulu for more than the first two episodes until the end of this season. -_-. Time to use alternative methods then...
King
i saw the christmas special on hulu just the other day.
pete did the "kirk out" thing again
Jeri Ryan guests tonight (Aug. 1st) as Pete's ex-wife. Geez Pete, you really divorced 7 of 9? Silly guy!
Someone needs to photoshop that and replace Ryan with her borg
Nice. Very very nice.
just saw the episode earlier today.
"trekkies. always crashing the party pretending they're time travelers"
now to find out how to photoshop....
Really cool episode. This season has been great - as usual.
Second that Rico. Just finished it myself. Awesome!
I hope Jeri Ryan returns sometime too. She was great and seemed to be very believable as Pete's ex-wife.
Yes it was a great episode. I like the way we get to "missions" with 2 teams now too. It's nice.

Haha! I've totally done that at Renn Faires. And I've seen other people there in Starfleet uniforms, but I always went in Rennaissance garb. Some friends and I would make up some crazy away mission and sneak out tricorders and have talks about the "primitive natives.". Hilarious.
I really enjoyed Jeri Ryan in this episode. And I hope she returns as well. She is just so dang pretty!!!!!!!
loved this weeks episode. very clever!
call me crazy but i think i'm starting to like H.G. Wells.
I see what you mean turtlesrock. Her character really grows on you. Just watched Mondays episode and another really good one.
Are they still doing the H.G. Wells spinoff? Sure seems like they are setting this up in this episode.
I haven't watched Warehouse 13 for a while and just started to get back into it this season. I just saw the most recent video game episode on my DVR and I thought it was fantastic! I especially enjoyed the nod to Star Trek TOS when they played the original fight sequence music during the fight! Very cool.
Yep, that was a great episode with the video game made by Fargo. Claudia as the Princess was awesome too!
Oh, there's a cool Wiki at the link below of all the W13 artifacts. Check it out!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artifacts_and_gadgets_from_Warehouse_13 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artifacts_and_gadgets_from_Warehouse_13)
Rico, thanks for the Wiki link. I saved the page so I can check out all the details a little later. My wife & I stopped watching the show because we thought Myka and Pete were boring. We were thinking that they were a poor substitute for Mulder & Scully and the show was a poor substitute for X-Files. In fact we stopped watching right after Claudia was introduced. I guess we just didn't give it enough of a chance. We will have to go back and try to catch up with the old episodes.
Myka & Pete boring?!? Actually I think they have a lot of chemistry and are much more fun than Muldur and Scully. And I'm a big X-Files fan too. Definitely give it another go. I think you will be pleased greatly.
This should show you what I mean....

One more to show how great these two go together....
Warehouse13 - Pete & Myka (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGmpngJGViM#ws)
Oh, I totally agree even without watching the videos! The characters have definitely changed since the beginning of the series. We are as guilty as some of the networks about giving the show a chance. We watched 3 or 4 of the very first episodes in season 1 and decided that we just didn't like Myka and Pete so we never gave the show another try until now when we saw one of the promos for the beginning of this season. We like them now as well as the two new people. :D
By the way, I'm still enjoying your podcast and really appreciated the one about Forbidden Planet. Now I want to see it again. I haven't seen it in YEARS.
You won't regret it. The stories are cool and whole cast is great!
i haven't watched last weeks episode yet but i will when i get back from vacation in a few days.
EEEK!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!
Some pics from Comic Con.
Cool pics and videos. It's been a really good season so far. And I can see where Beatleboy is coming from. I didn't enjoy the beginning very much but I stuck with it and am I glad that I did!

I completely agree with Rico on all these points. Warehouse 13 is probably my favorite summer show. I think the chemistry that this cast has is probably the best of any genre show currently on TV.
Those Comic Con photos were cool.
Kevin
nice pics! :)
after watching the first video, pete does get punched a lot doesn't he? ;D
Great episode last night. Pete & Myka are a great team that you can see are growing closer all the time.
I'm glad Myka got some closure on her former partner being killed. And I liked the paer where she asked Pete to stay back while they went after the bad guy. And when Pete was messing with that card with the Car Wash song, funny!
Did everyone catch the cool Star Trek: TOS homage in last week's episode "Don't Hate the Player"?

Mountain Dew out my nose moment...loved it. 8)

Yes I did and I don't normally watch Warehouse 13 but because it had Fargo and went into a game I had to watch.. really enjoyed it. And loved the nod to Star Trek
I did catch that, Kevin. Very cool.
loved last weeks episode. can't get enough of those star trek references. :)
Warehouse 13 was awesome tonight!! The best of the season I think. DO NOT READ SPOILER IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE EPISODE YET!!!!!!
It was awesome to see Kate Mulgrew in this episode. And I'm glad she will be in next weeks. And I hardly ever jump out of my seat watching TV (unless its the Buckeyes or the Steelers) but when Myka introduced Pete to her and he said Mom! I was out of my seat saying, what! I didn't see that coming at all. And I wonder if Jinx is done?
EEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i did NOT see that coming!
when pete said "mom?!" i started laughing, then crying. not quite sure why. just one of those (excuse my language) "son of a biscuit what just happened?!" sort of moments.
(on a more serious note) that was a great episode.
is it true that there are 2 weeks until the next new episode?
Sadly,
I actually thought he would say mom when she turned. When he did, I laughed so hard. It was kind of predictable for me. When I saw her face, that's what I thought would happen.
As for Jinx, I have a feeling the bad guys are going to try to turn him to the darkside (and maybe succeed, I dunno).
I'm really curious to see where the season will take us. This season is the best season so far.
Great episode for a great series. Love seeing all the guest stars they've been having on here and on "Eureka" too. Things are really heating up for our Warehouse team. And the end of this last episode - awesome!!!
Oh YEAH! Warehouse rocks. Every episode this season seems to be getting better and better. I can't wait for Monday...hey, wait. That just doesn't sound right. :)

Just watched Gareth David Lloyd in last weeks show. Nice to see the first Torchwood actor enter the show.
No episode in the US this week :( Bummer
This might just be the best scifi show on TV right now, in my opinion. And I was able to see Kate Mulgrew and Eddie McClintock on a panel at Dragon*Con (I think it's available online, now), and they are absolutely fabulous together. I can't wait for more.
Kate said that they haven't yet asked her back for another season, but if they do, her answer will be "absolutely."

Yep - I'm with you guys. "Warehouse 13" is the best!
same here!i hope it goes on for many, many more seasons.
this week's episode was great!
i love how they chose portland for the city. :biggrin
i really hope steve doesn't turn to the dark side. that would be very, very bad. :(
Now, THAT's how you end a season.
beware MEGA spoilers ahead (i tend to have broken thoughts after dramatic season finales)
STEVEY STEVEY IS DEAD?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! :'( the entire warehouse just went KABOOM!!!! ms. fredric... just how.... aww man :(.
so now what's gonna happen? there isn't even a warehouse to guard anymore. warehouse 14 anyone?
what about claudia? she's all dark now...
stevey stevey a double agent, thank god...
now what was claudia talking about... bringing stevey stevey back...
on a more positive note it's gonna make for a great 4th season though :)
To address your thoughts. (SPOILERS)
The metronome was keeping the guy alive, Claudia wants to use it to bring Jinx back. And she's not all dark, she's just pissed. With Jinx back, she will be back to normal. Or with what Artie may do (read below), I think she would never have gotten dark to begin with.
Mrs. Fredericks was obviously linked or even the embodiment of the warehouse. I believe she will be back somehow (also, read below).
I doubt there will be a Warehouse 14. At the end, Artie looked at his watch and said not quite. Watches tell time, but if it's an artifact, maybe it can manipulate time. I'm guessing he uses it to prevent the explosion.

My guess is that the watch is an artifact that can reverse time. I don't know how far, but I think that now that they know the end game, they can prevent it, but someone will still need to die.
let's hope so.
I thought it was an awesome finale. Definitely lost the usual light heartedness in parts. That's what I love about the show is it's comedic and very emotional at times.
When Pete found Jinx, I kinda knew right away. Kinda saw it coming after the last lady Jinx replaced, but still didn't make it any less emotional and one of the best scenes of the show. And then they went from there to killing HG and Mrs. Fredrick while burning down the whole Warehouse.
One thing I thought might be a bit of a plot hole, if HG could make a force field to stop the blast, why couldn't she just put it around the bomb itself. Did anybody else think about that?
Yeah and I have an answer.
When you try to contain an explosion, it requires far more than trying to protect from it. The full blast dispersed over the warehouse and didn't hit them with all of it. It wouldn't have contained the full explosion.
Loved the finale. This is just an awesome show and I love and care about all the characters. Really been a great season. But a few more thoughts,... (spoilers ahead)
I had guessed Jinx was undercover for awhile now. It just made sense. Never thought he went over to the dark side. His death was shocking. Claudia's scream and reaction were perfect. In a way, I almost wish they don't bring him back. Loved his little video sign off.
There were a few points in this episode I had some trouble with. For example, that riding crop thing. There were a few moments they could have easily taken a shot at the bad guy and taken him out. The crop could only control one of them. Then, the big boom at the end. I also thought just contain the blast in the force field. Perhaps it couldn't handle it, who knows. But, it probably doesn't matter since Artie has that watch (turning back time is the obvious option).
Anyway, don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the episode. Just a few little things nag at me slightly.
Watched the last 3 episodes this past Tuesday and loved them all. The finale was awesome.
I will admit I will miss HG more than Jinx. And when I saw HG messing around in that room at the end I knew she was up to something but didn't think she was going to sacrifice herself. And the part when Claudia went upstairs where Jinx was...boy did that get me. Great actors in this series!!
Loved loved loved the finale.
It broke my heart when to see that fire peel through the Warehouse and destroy all of that information and history. And you could see that on the character's faces as well. I definitely agree that the pocket watch must manipulate time somehow. It reminds me of the Omega 13 device from "Galaxy Quest." Can't wait for the next season!
now catching up on season 1, lots of the episodes are really great. :)
We're getting the finale spread across two weeks. I was wondering why one of the big spoilers for the final episode had occurred the week before but if you got a two hour run then that explains it.
Can't wait for next week to see how it all pans out. This is probably my favourite show at the moment and this season has even the best yet. Nice to see Kate Mulgrew so mush in the back half too.
I enjoyed the finale but it is a little obvious what they are going to do next season.

Yup, it's on tonight at 9!
Brent Spiner is joining the cast this season in a recurring guest role. Cool!
When it returns for its fourth season this summer, the Syfy series Warehouse 13 will once again feature a Star Trek luminary. This time Star Trek: The Next Generation's Brent Spiner is coming on board for multiple episodes. More details and a first look below.
Brent Spiner joining Warehouse 13 for recurring role in S4
Season 4 of the Syfy series Warehouse 13 kicks off on July 23rd and on board will Brent Spiner. Accordingto TV Guide, the veteran Star Trek: TNG actor will be playing Brother Adrian, leader of a top-secret sect known as the Brotherhood of the Knights of the Black Diamond. Spiner will appear in at least six episodes for the upcoming season.

That could be good depending how the character is written. I've never really seen Spiner in anything else (other hen Independence Day...) so it will be interesting to see his take on a completely different character.
OMG!
I just made an AHA connection. They were both in that TNG episode "The Most Toys." That was a great episode!
Trying to remember, didn't you cover that episode Rico?
Z
Yep, I covered "The Most Toys" back in early 2010 on podcast #264 right here: http://treksinscifi.com/podcast_notes/?p=1395 (http://treksinscifi.com/podcast_notes/?p=1395)
Let's hope Brent doesn't try and shoot him again!

That's cool...
Great show. Can't wait for it to start again. Also July 23 is the day that STNG will be at the theater! So you better DVR it or watch it on Hulu the next day.
yet more star trek and warehouse 13 combined, what could go wrong? :)
Warehouse 13 Season 4 Promo - Downside (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqPM0eABwCI#ws)
i sense awesome coming on! so much awesome!
Wow - this show never fails to dissappoint. Good start to the season
Yes, I really liked this last episode. Can't wait to see what they do.
This show is up somewhere in it's entirety, I noticed recently. Netflix maybe, or possibly my Xfinity app. I intend to start watching when I get a chance.
i'm not sure, it definitely had a different feel than the warehouse 13 that i'm used to.
it was very awesome but very scary. watching pete die was just insane crazy. but i do like the idea of claudia as the next bad guy, she could totally pull it off. i'm not quite sure i have an opinion of the season yet, as the first episode looked more scary than almost anything thus far. warehouse 13 (so far) has had the feel of "the whole warehouse is one big happy family and we're all there for each other and it's a big happy family, happy happy awesome yay ^_^" but that didn't look to be the case this season, not after the first episode at least. not that the darker side of warehouse 13 isn't good, it's just not the side that i fell in love with. it's different. i'm not sure if i'm hoping to get used to the new feel or hoping that it reverts back to the old one somehow.
I enjoyed the season premiere and I agree it did have a different feel than W13 in the past. I'm glad it's back and I'm looking forward to the rest of the season too.
P.S. The sound for the premiere was weird to me. It seemed off and dull or soft. Anyone else notice this?
Rico, yes, the sound was off - sounded a little muffled or maybe tinny?

Yep! Exactly. Glad I wasn't the only one that noticed that. I wonder if it was the source or the broadcast itself.
No sign of getting this over here yet :( Previousy, I thought the broadcasts were quite close between the two countries.
the first episode is on hulu if you get that i guess...
I'll be catching this on hulu.
Cool season so far and getting more interesting all the time. Pic that Eddie posted up on Twitter.
I'm enjoying the season for sure! One question though...what's going on with Michah's hair?? :)

I like it much more curly like it is this season.
I could have sworn it was a wig, like she got it cut between seasons and they needed to keep continuity, but that photo makes it look real enough.

Not a wig. I've seen in her in other projects looking like this. I think this is closer to the way her hair normally is.
So her hair budget must have run out then. Hehehe
Just saw a bit of an episode with Artie and the priest fighting. Interesting parallel with the TNG episode.
Marathon of season 4 yesterday...all caught up. This is the TNG, DS9, VOY retirement series. James Marsters will be an interesting addition.
Well enjoy it. There's not a lot of this series left to see :(

What do you mean? In the UK left to see?? The new season is currently airing new episodes over here right now.
I think he's saying that it's been canceled.

Well, that kind of stinks! I guess that news just came out a few days ago. But it still has the rest of this season to air and six episodes for it's final season in 2014. At least they got some warning so they can wrap things up. Doesn't make sense to me since this show has been one of their best rated programs. First SG: Universe, then Eureka, then Alphas, now W13. SyFy is really starting to cheese me off!

Yeah, I actually just started getting into it on Netflix. It's the usual case that if there's a scifi show on and I get into it it's like the kiss of death. Sorry, guys!
Is syfy really FOX??

At the end of the day, Stargate is probably the only Sci-fi show they kept beyond the 5 year mark. After that many shows, they actually make more money running them in syndication and focusing on new shows. Since Alpha, W13, and Eureka all share the same universe, it wasn't as if the writing wasn't on the wall. Five seasons is a pretty good run and chances are that we'll find something to like in the new crop of shows. I think with the cost cutting move of adding more imported shows, they will be able to make bigger budget shows for the network without breaking the bank.
Honestly, it feels like Warehouse 13 hit it's peak a while back and is starting to coast downhill. This is the last "old" series I'm still watching and once it ends, I'm no longer watching live TV. Everything through Netflix or Amazon at this point.
Sorry, yes, I'd just heard the news of the truncated season 5 at that point and (of course) assumed that everyone else had heard it too.
I've enjoyed the show - mid season finale was pretty good but waiting until next year for the last shows is a bit long. Big reveal about Claudia - we'll see where that goes.

This wasn't a mid-season finale. This was the season 4 finale. Season 5 is in 2014. It will be a shorter season for season 5. Cool finale. Fun to see all the ex-Buffy and ex-Trek folks that have appeared on this series.
Finale tonight over here, I hadn't realised we were that close to the end. I've enjoyed this back half of the season on the whole but I hope they round it off well next year.
Warehouse 13 back this week in the UK!
Looking forward to a good Season 5. It would be great if it could close out on a high.
(and then we can start the Warehouse 14 run :))
First episode back was fun and it's great to see our favorite Warehouse agents back in action!
They only have 3 seasons of this on Netflix. I wish they would put season 4 on! Love this show.
We're watching season 4 on Amazon prime (free trial). Season 5 was $10. Season 5 was not my favorite but what a GREAT series finale.
