Actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler was born on this day in Jericho, New York.  She started acting and singing at age 7 in productions such as “Annie” and “The Wizard of Oz.”  Her limited genre related work includes parts in:  ”Campfire Stories”, “Dark Ride”, “The Gathering”, and “Beneath the Dark.”  She is probably best known for her work on “The Sopranos.”  I look forward to seeing more of the beautiful Jamie-Lynn in future work to come.

A repeat babe today with actress Felicity Huffman.  She is mainly known for her long running TV series, “Desperate Housewives” but I first remember seeing her on a Stephen King miniseries way back in 1991 called the “Golden Years.”  She’s also appeared in other genre related things like “The X-Files” and the movie “Hackers.”  I look forward to seeing more of the lovely Felicity in future work to come.

Lovely actress Eva Green is our repeat babe for this weekend as she is appearing in the new film out today called “Dark Shadows.” She appeared once before in this pic blog way back in 2008 right HERE.  In recent years she has appeared in genre related work such as:  ”Womb”, “Perfect Sense”, and the TV series, “Camelot.”  I look forward to continuing to see more of the beautiful and talented Eva in future work to come.

Actress Polly Walker was born in Warrington, Cheshire, England in the UK.  I have seen in her in several things but probably know her most from the series “Caprica” where she played Clarice Willow.  Other genre related work for her includes:  ”Control”, “Waking the Dead”, “Numb3rs”, “Dark Void”, “Clash of the Titans”, “Sanctuary” and “John Carter.”  I look forward to seeing more of the lovely and talented Polly in future work to come.

Actress Ashley Johnson was born in Camarillo, California but spent her entire childhood growing up in Michigan.  She is a former Miss Jr. Michigan and appeared in eight different TV series before she was 21 years old.  Her genre related credits include:  ”Jumanji” (TV series), “What Women Want”, “Lloyd in Space”, “Roswell”, “Touched by an Angel”, “Teen Titans”, “Ben 10: Alien Force”, “Dollhouse”, “The Avengers”, and others.  I look forward to seeing more of the lovely Ashley in future work to come.

Actress Scarlett Johansson is another repeat babe for this week in celebration of “The Avengers” film in which she plays Natasha Romanoff (aka the Black Widow).  This lovely and talented actress has been featured in this picture blog a few times before.  Scarlett’s appeared in several genre works and is playing Janet Leigh in next year’s “Hitchcock” film.  I look forward to seeing her in hopefully future “Avengers” films and other cool work to come.

Actress Cobie Smulders is our repeat babe for this Monday.  She was featured just once before in this picture blog right HERE.  I first became aware of this talented woman in the short lived adventure series, “Veritas: The Quest.”  She is currently appearing as agent Maria Hill in the smash hit film, “The Avengers” (now playing – go see it).  Cobie is also well know for the TV series, “How I Met Your Mother.”  I look forward to seeing more of this lovely lady in future work to come.

Today, “The Avengers” movies opens.  I loved it and the movie has the most attractive set of comic book heroes ever brought to life in one movie.  Go see it now!

Actress Jessica Capshaw was born in Columbia, Missouri.  She is the daughter of actress Kate Capshaw and step-daughter of Steven Spielberg.  She graduated from Brown University with a degree in English and was a model before she got more into acting.  Her genre related work includes parts in:  ”Valentine”, “Minority Report”, “Bones”, and others.  Most recently she can be seen on the TV series, “Grey’s Anatomy.”  I look forward to seeing more of this lovely woman in future work to come.
