Pretty Lucy Liu was born in New York to Chinese immigrants.  During her senior year at the University of Michigan she auditioned for a small part in Alice in Wonderland and ended up with the lead.  Lucy has had a variety of roles, including genre parts in:  “The X Files”, “Payback”, “Cypher”, “Kill Bill: Vol. 1″ and others.  She speaks six languages, is athletic and practices the martial art of Kali-Eskrima-Silat (knife-and-stick fighting).  I hope we see more of Lucy in many more genre parts in the future.

The very pretty Jordana Brewster was born in Panama City, Panama.  Early on she lived in London, then later her family moved to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and then at age ten Jordana and her family moved to New York.  She attended some private schools and began acting on soap operas.  She got a big break when she ended up in the popular movie, “The Fast and the Furious.”  Jordana has only appeared in a few genre roles such as in:  “The Faculty”, “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”, and recently on the geek TV show, “Chuck.”  I know the sexy Jordana has a bright future ahead of her.

Actor Bruce Boxleitner was born in Illinois and has been in several popular genre projects over the years.  His biggest Sci-Fi genre role was probably as John Sheridan on the hit series, “Babylon 5.”  Bruce was also in:  “TRON”, “Scarecrow and Mrs. King”, “Young Blades” and recently “Heroes.”  This handsome actor has also written a couple of science fiction novels and is married to Melissa Gilbert.  I hope we get to see more of Bruce, maybe even in another “Babylon 5″ film at some point in the future.

Pretty Winona Ryder was born Winona Horowitz in Winona, Minnesota (named after the town she was born in).  She grew up in a Northern California commune and is the goddaughter of Timothy Leary.  She’s been in several genre movies like:  “Edward Scissorhands”, “Dracula”, “Alien: Resurrection”, “Lost Souls”, “A Scanner Darkly”, and will be in the new “Star Trek” film next spring playing Amanda, Spock’s mother.  Winona has had some issues over the years but always still seems to pick interesting and varied roles.  I hope she continues to do well and we get to see her do more in the genre.

Sexy Olga Kurylenko is relatively new to film and acting.  She was born in the Ukraine, Soviet Union and grew up in poverty.  But she studied hard in the arts such as music, languages, art, piano, and ballet.  She eventually was discovered and became a model and moved to Paris.  She has been in a few big films so far like:  “Hitman”, “Max Payne”, and as the Bond girl Camille in the newly released “Quantum of Solace.”  This beautiful woman has a long career ahead of her, I think.

The beautiful Eva Green was born in Paris, France and has had a rich and very multicultural life so far.  Surprisingly she was extremely shy when she was young and actually moved towards acting to help with her shyness.  She has been in several high profile films such as a Bond girl in “Casino Royale”, “Kingdom of Heaven” and “The Golden Compass.”  She has also been in several international films too.  Eva keeps busy with art, music and loves to visit museums.  I hope we see much more of her for a long time to come.

Felicity Huffman was born in New York and grew up in several areas including Colorado and Michigan where she attended the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy.  She hasn’t been in many genre projects but a few are: “Golden Years” (miniseries), “”The X Files”, “Hackers” and “Magnolia.”  I have enjoyed her work on the non-genre “Desperate Houswives” too.  Lets hope we get to see the talented and beautiful Felicity in more genre roles very soon.

Beautiful actress Natasha Henstridge was born in Canada.  She left home at age 14 for Paris and began a successful modeling career before she moved to acting.  Her big break came in the Sci-Fi film “Species.”  She has also been in, “The Outer Limits”, “Species II & III”, “Ghosts of Mars”, and the TV version of “Jason and the Argonauts.”  Natasha continues to work steadily and I hope we get to see her in another genre role very soon.

The young & very attractive Megan Fox has made quite a splash in a very short time.  She was born in Tennessee but eventually moved to Los Angeles and began modeling and acting at age 13.  Megan was of course in the huge hit film “Transformers” and will be seen in the sequel next summer.  She also did voice work for the game from the film.  She is a big animal lover and also enjoys comic and video games.  This makes Megan an even bigger favorite of geeks worldwide who have named her one of the sexiest women around.  I look forward to seeing more of her in many roles to come - maybe even as a superhero in a film someday.

Sexy actress Denise Richards was born in Illinois and grew up in the Chicago area.  Like many pretty actresses she started off as a model before getting into acting.  She has appeared in a few genre roles in: “Starship Troopers”, “Lois & Clark”, “Weird Science”, “Scary Movie 3″, and was a Bond girl in “The World is not Enough.”  I hope we get to see this beautiful lady in many more genre roles in the future.
