Actress Jennifer Lawrence was born in Louisville, Kentucky.  She was involved in various sports in school and modeling before she turned to acting while a teenager.  Her genre related work includes roles in:  ”Medium”, “Winter’s Bone”, “X-Men: First Class”, and plays Katniss Everdeen in “The Hunger Games” opening today.  I very much look forward to watching the continued career of this up and rising star.
