Our fictional character for this Friday is Arwen, from “The Lord of the Rings.”  She is an elf and ends up marrying the ranger Aragorn eventually who becomes the new King of Gondor.  In the LOTR films, Arwen (played by the lovely Liv Tyler – seen above), is given much more to do, including helping rescue Frodo from the Black Riders.  In the novels she is more of a minor character.  But still, Arwen is a beautiful and courageous elf who helps the heroes of this epic fantasy achieve their goals.
