Actress Elizabeth Banks was born as Elizabeth Maresal Mitchell in Massachusetts.  She changed her name to avoid confusion with actress Elizabeth Mitchell (of “Lost” and now “V”).  Her genre roles include parts in:  all three “Spider-Man” films, “The 40 Year Old Virgin”, “Slither”, “Fred Claus”, “The Uninvited” and more.  I hope Elizabeth continues to find success and even more genre work in the future.
