Actor Christopher Reeve was born in New York and is of course best known for playing the iconic role of Superman in four films.  His other genre roles include parts in:  “Somewhere in Time”, “Faerie Tale Theatre”, “Tales from the Crypt”, “Village of the Damned”, and “Smallville.”  Chris had a tragic horseback riding accident that left him paralyzed and eventually led to his death in 2004.  Always a gentleman, perhaps his greatest role was how he never gave up after his accident.  He is still greatly missed.
