Hunky actor John Barrowman was born in Scotland and grew up in Joliet, Illinois.  He has acted and sung in musical theater and has an excellent voice along with a record deal.  Of course to genre fans he is best known for playing Captain Jack Harkness first on “Doctor Who” and then later on “Torchwood”  (now in it’s third season).  One of the rare, openly gay actors working today (at least that I know of).  I hope his career continues to do well and I’d love to see him show up in a “Star Trek” movie or TV series (hint – hint) someday.
