Actress Kirstie Alley was born as Kirstie Louise Deal in Kansas.  She is of course best known to geeks everywhere for playing Lt. Saavik in “Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan.”  Others projects for Kirstie are:  “The Hitchhiker”, “Look Who’s Talking” (& sequel), “Cheers”, “Village of the Damned”, “Peter and the Wolf”, and the “Salen Witch Trials.”  Sadly, Kirstie has had a problem battling weight gain for several years now.  I hope she manages to come out of it and we get to see her in another cool SF or fantasy project soon.
