The comic book character of Catwoman first appeared as Selina Kyle way back in Batman # 1 in 1940 (artwork above by Alex Horley).  Since that time she has appeared in countless issues of various Batman comics and has also had her own comic book series too.  An excellent foil for the Batman, she has also sometimes become romantically linked with the crime fighter.  Of course, the character has been in the “Batman” 60′s TV series, cartoons, was also in “Batman Returns” and her own movie with Halle Berry.  Perhaps a new actress will get a chance to play the character in the next movie in a couple of years.
