Pretty Amanda Peet was born in New York and mainly began acting in college.  She hasn’t been seen in a lot of genre roles, but the few include:  “Simply Irrestible”, “Terra”, “Martian Child”, “The X Files: I Want to Believe”, and the upcoming, “2012″, and “Gulliver’s Travels.”  Amanda is married with one daughter.  I hope we get to see her in many more interesting roles in the future.
