Actor Richard Dean Anderson was born in Minnesota and during his childhood and teenage years, he developed a love for sports, music (especially jazz) and acting.  He always has had an adventurous streak as evidenced when he and some friends took a 5,641-mile bicycle trip from his home in Minnesota to Alaska.  He is probably best known for playing the non-violent, intelligent role of “MacGyver” for seven seasons & two TV movies.  His other big genre credit was as O’Neill in the long running series “Stargate: SG-1.”  He was also in the short lived show called “Legend.”  The athletic and talented actor is currently spending time with his family.  I hope we get to see him again soon – maybe in another “MacGyver” film.
