Actress Katie Holmes was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio.  She began acting in high school and eventually got some good breaks in Hollywood.  Probably best know for playing Joey on the series “Dawson’s Creek” she might be more known now for being Mrs. Tom Cruise.  She played Rachel in the genre hit “Batman Begins” but hasn’t been in many genre roles.  She did audition for the part of Buffy for the TV series but was considered too young at the time.  I hope we get to see more of this pretty woman in some good genre parts in the future – maybe a fantasy tale.
