Actress Grace Lee Whitney was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan as Mary Ann Chase.  She is of course best known for playing Yeoman Janice Rand in the first season of the original “Star Trek.”  Grace played Rand in the Trek films as well as a couple of fan films too.  She also played in several western series and other guest roles.  Grace is also a very good singer and released several albums.  This classy lady is still popular at conventions and also has penned an autobiography.
