The tall & beautiful Uma Karuna Thurman was born in Boston and grew up in an unusual household situation.  Her mother is a European socialite and former model, her father is one of the nation’s foremost Buddhist scholars and both gave Uma a very odd childhood.  She is named after the goddess of light and beauty in Indian Mythology.  But she began acting and loved it.  She has been seen in many genre films such as:  “Batman & Robin”, “Gattaca”, “The Avengers”, “Paycheck”, “Prime”, “My Super Ex-Girlfriend”, and the very unusual “Kill Bill” set of films.  Uma is known for her range of roles and variety of parts she takes on.  I know this lovely statuesque lady will be around for a long time to come.
