Born in New York, Viggo Mortensen traveled and lived in several countries growing up.  He worked a variety of odd jobs before finally taking some acting classes and getting into the business.  Viggo is of course best know for playing Aragorn or Strider in the three, epic “Lord of the Rings” films.  A modern renaissance man, Viggo speaks several languages, paints, performs jazz music, enjoys photography, and is an excellent horseman (he even purchased the horses he rode in the ‘Rings’ films and “Hildago”).  A character actor, he gets very deeply into his roles.  He will soon be seen in the post apocalyptic film, “The Road.”
